Toyhunter on Quest Now!

I'm supposed to be going to bed early for work tomorrow but Toyhunter is pretty cool. He just got a couple of rare Transformers. One was a gold plated special offer ($1000) and the other was a small yellow Japanese Autobot a bit like Bumblebee. Awesome 8)
 
I watched a couple last night. It reminded me of Storage Hunters too much - great to see the stuff they find, but I find it quite patronising that they feel the need to fake so much of it. Half of it is clearly set up, and the discussions are all clearly staged/scripted. It would be far more interesting to me if it was just a show about the cool stuff he finds on his travels. The pantomime is unnecessary.
 
Watched last night, seemed a bit scripted, and he could just as well be in any programme, bit of a knob if you ask me

I think you lot are giving the show a rough ride. It's got to be scripted otherwise it would be even shitter :lol: For an American show about toys it's not that bad. Most of the stuff he bought meant absolutely nothing to me. Not into all that 60's Herman Munster/Rob the Robot gear. When he visited the Transformer collector i was well impressed 8) For those who haven't seen Toy Hunter think of it as Storage Hunters but with one guy and lots of cool toys.
 
Don't know. There was plenty of Star Wars stuff in the background at his unit or whatever it is.
 
He talks about star wars now and again, but the focus in the show is all vintage lines.
The conversations and the buying aspects in the show are awful, but I still watch, quite enjoyable seeing all the toys he finds.

Just watched the first episode with the other half - both enjoyed it, good tv and I learned something about transformers.

Definitely worth sticking with :)
