Slave I Boba Fett's Spaceship:

I think the vehicle are okay. But it miss some light and sound so I would not call it fantastic What do you guys think ?

I love the movie Slave 1, and I also love the box art Kenner created. However, I've never been overly fond of the likeness Kenner gave the toy, as I think their other efforts are generally better. That said, it makes for a great toy, and is one I wish I'd owned as a child!

Since the last Toy of the Week threads, I have been fortunate enough to upgrade my Slave 1 to a better, opened, but unused example:

I agree the art on the box are really great I also love it I also wish I had owned it when I was a kid, but I was not that luck, I got much more lego than star wars. Not that I did not like my
lego. But I am sure if I had the choice I would have loved to have had more star wars than more lego.

Great update you have there. The palitoy box looks fantastic, vehicle looks mint, I love the unused stickers and instruction also looks nice.

It could have been cool if palitoy had added a big palitoy logo on the instruction like they did on the box, just like Kenner did.

I have the ESB Kenner Slave I with box, The ROTJ Bilogo box and I also have the special offer action play setting for the Slave I special offer box, but I am still missing the box for it.

An eBay listing spiked my interest, and I checked old vectis sale lots.

Thanks for the kind words Yes I would say it is nearly mint, I guess I was lucky to buy it years ago when prices was still low. I hope I can add the box for it in the future. But I fear this boxes with the special offer stickers cost to much for me today.

How many slave 1 box variants are there out there ?

I know about kenner ESB and ROTJ, the bi-logo, palitoy and the special offfer box. But are there more ?

Slave1 is my favourite ship of all time! Never had chance to own one as a kid or an adult but i'm determined to get one this year, either loose or mib.

I have Boba Fetts Starship in the vintage collection (I might even have two versions) and a mini Slave1 in Lego.

Oh and i almost forgot i have a fine molds Slave1 which I bought over 10 years ago. One day when I pluck up the courage I will get the old airbrush out and have a go at building and painting it

I do like Slave 1. Always seemed an odd sort of ship, but loved the Toy as a kid when I got it for Christmas. Thought the han in carbonite was pretty cool.

When I was deciding what to put on display in my room, Slave 1 had to be there, along with the two Bespin related pieces.

Sorry to read you did not have one when you was a kid. I hope you get a loose or a mib soon I also did not have one when I was a kid. I did not know it existed before the late 80s when I got my big brothers y-wing, then I also got the tri-logo poster with it and saw the slave one on it for the first time. I never saw it in the shops. But it was sold in denmark.

Fantastic stuff! I did own a Boba Fett figure as a child (although it seemed to take an age before I finally managed to get one!), but I never owned a Slave 1. Instead, I had to enjoy one vicariously though my friend across the street from me as he owned one, along with an AT-AT and a Dagobah playset, neither of which I owned as a child either!

Sorry to read you did not have boba or slave 1 as a kid, the same here but I am glad to see and read you have them now

That is a beautiful mint slave 1 without stickers, thanks for sharing it. It looks great on display with the other boba stuff.

I agree there are many bad boxes for sale today so this boxes are really great. Thanks for sharing the boxes with us from your collection.

Great to see the ESB kenner box, the first one for the slave 1 vehicle

Cool that the bi-logo box have a made in france sticker I do not remember I have seen that sticker before on a slave 1 box

Do you have more goals or dreams for your slave 1 collection or do you fell it is complete ?
