As some of you have noticed before, if a seller won't ship to your country, you can't send them a message to ask if they will. Just thought I'd let you all know that I found out you can send messages to any seller using the mobile app (on iPhone at least.) I've picked up a couple of 'USA only' things this way recently :)

yeah i always do this, you also find that a lot of sellers do ship to the UK but they dont pay the extra 30p for it to show on ebay UK so its worth logging into the foreign site and checking out the listings.

I can confirm that the iphone method works a treat as i've been doing this for a long time.

All you really need to do is go to the sellers profile and contact them from there, the last item you've viewed of his, will then automatically pop up as a topic for your message.

It works the other way around to. I sign into ebay UK and then I can send UK members messages....plus see all the stuff not list on the US version. :D

Good tip Edd, you can also contact them if you sign out & go to the sellers countrys own ebay & contact them without signing in, picked up a few that way myself, one of the other guys here put me on to that.

Same here Frank, and they are nearly always quite obliging.

I always contact sellers in their own language for example French, but my French must be that bad even using a translator that the seller always replies in English

Least I try
