hey all

its been a bit of a quiet time for me after the thinning out of my collection, nut just when i was thinking that it was done and dusted, a few weird things happened.

Firstly i had the urge to wander around forbidden planet and toy shops looking at vintage re-issues etc, which is pretty normal from what i hear.

But then out of the blue i got 2 packets returned to my house.
Both of which were familiar, as i had sent them over a month before.

Basically a guy on Ebay had really hoovered up most of my auctions by either winning them or requesting a BIN price, which was usually what i was looking for /expecting.

in the end he bought over a third of what i had.
But during the posting stage he asked for things to be sent to a PO box, and his reasons seemed legit, plus he had already got some of my packages and had left good feedback.

In the two boxes were 38 complete snowtroopers and in the other 18 imperial figures in excellent condition , most with weapons. which he has already paid for (a fairly big chunk).

So i e-mailed him a few times over both packages, nothing, not a sausage.
Also he has left Excellent feedback on all the purchases, even before he had received them. :?

so now i have a large chunk of my collection back, some guys hard earned cash,, and no reply as to if he still exists.
Do i keep at it until he replies ? Return the money blindly? re-sell and refund?
Keep everything? repost? take up knitting?

his account shows purchases after mine,, but no reply,, the parcels were marked "not called for"

Any ideas

Strange!

You gotta wait at least a few weeks before you even consider re-selling. He may be off on hols and not have internet access, or may be lying in a hospital bed somewhere.

I'd say just hang tight for a while yet.

remember he can open a case against you up to 60 days after, i would hang onto them for a while otherwise it could bite you if he decides to request them.

And in all honesty he has paid, its just right to do the good thing and wait for a reply :)

Yeah, I would wait a while too. And maybe try to contact him a few times more. Do you still have his address? Maybe try to find his phone number?

If that doesn't work out... Well, it would be a nice start to your new collection. :D

I agree, you've done all you can for now but you just need to sit on these for a while before deciding to do anything with them. I think even a couple of months but after that it's unreasonable to expect you to keep holding them.

Yeah I have messaged him , and they were sent late august /early September . So it's been over a month since the first one came back.

I don't I could keep the cash . But a good heads up on not re-selling thanks for that. I wonder if the other purchases will come back too.?

Maybe its the guy who has just killed his wife for smashing his star wars toys!

i doubt he will want them now lol

Yeah i'd do what everyone else has said Steve. Keep them in a safe place somewhere for a bit - i'd go for Christmas at least and then after that do what you want with them.
