As i keep looking at the lovely MOC's on here and my only one being a custom i am tempted to Go for the one example from the only three cardbacks i would love to have , however as i am broke i would be going cheeeeap, and i just starting looking and need to get a ball park on weather i will or not.

first choice - german stormtrooper.
second - any stormtrooper
third - Any Snowtrooper
fourth - any AT-AT driver.

What would be the average for these with a ok bubble,, i dont mind dings, but yellowing is not good.
And the card be complete but not too pushed about creases

any ideas folks?

thanks

steve

Insert "And so it begins" comment here.

Nah i have learnt from my ongoing imperial frenzy,, that forces me to attempt to buy lots of imperials when i should be saving.

JUST ONE, thats all just one little moc. :) the prices will make it easy to be strong willed.

Good man Steve!

I have no idea about the German Stormtrooper moc (German moc's are General Mills aren't they?)
Toytoni has a general mills moc Stormtrooper on an esb card for £90 - that one is on his website so not sure if it is still for sale.

I know what you mean about certain cardbacks - I don't know what it is but I just really don't like the look of certain cards. Take Vader for example.... I just think his cards look so boring I have never have or ever will own a Vader moc. I could say the same for a lot of others too

Good to see the Imperial slant is still strong with you!

Personally I'd go for a Palitoy Jedi snowtrooper. It's easy to find one relatively cheap in dead mint condition, and IMO they look stunning 8)

^^ Yeah the pali (non logod) rotj are easy to obtain and well priced

try Tontoni as he usually has some nice expamples

has anyone got a toytoni link or will i just google it?

What about kenner ROTJ arent they the most common, hence cheaper.
I havent got the affinity to Palitoy that most UK collectors have as i only remember kenner in ireland for some reason , but that doesnt make locical sense?

Also my only memories of buying starwars is around the end of the jedi and into the early potf which buy when the surplus from a fading US market would have been shipped all over, and back.

but the pricing on a c7 (rough guide hate the c system) kenner stormie would be??
£40/50/60??

I only remember Kenner too and i grew up in London. Bought dozens of the things from 82-84ish. Never once saw a Palitoy logo till i started collecting last year.
Kenner ROTJs will probably be cheaper but they will almost always have yellow bubbles which is why a lot of collectors prefer the Palitoy or German ROTJs as they usually have very clear bubbles.
Toytoni has a nice Hoth Stormtrooper moc tho i think the price is a little high like will most of his stuff.

thanks for the link pete,

yeah there is a sweet Hoth stormie on there,, but an affordable Kenner,,, with yep a yellowed bubble.

Now i am getting the sense that Emiel is right,, as straightaway i looked at the Kenner one and said to myself "hmmm ok price , but if i am gonna fork out cash i might as well get a clear bubble"

Which means i will probably stop being lazy and start hunting a nice stormie with half decent card and un yellowed bubble..

but now i want the hoth and the stormie,,, damn this hobby its gonna make me poorer than i already am. :D
