I thought you'd all be interested to know that I have finally settled with the insurance company after the theft a few months ago, the cheque arrived today. As you can imagine it wasn't your average claim so took quite a lot of explaining, proof etc.
The moral of the story:
1) Keep receipts for EVERYTHING (Even star cases - 120 were worth £250!)
2) Take lots of photos, with your house in view
3) Be careful of who you show your collection to - It was most probably somebody I know.
4) Paying £10 for a £400 figure doesn't mean it's worth £400 to the insurance company!
Also none of the toys have turned up yet.
