I thought you'd all be interested to know that I have finally settled with the insurance company after the theft a few months ago, the cheque arrived today. As you can imagine it wasn't your average claim so took quite a lot of explaining, proof etc.

The moral of the story:
1) Keep receipts for EVERYTHING (Even star cases - 120 were worth £250!)
2) Take lots of photos, with your house in view
3) Be careful of who you show your collection to - It was most probably somebody I know.
4) Paying £10 for a £400 figure doesn't mean it's worth £400 to the insurance company!

Also none of the toys have turned up yet.

least you got your money back. 8) 8)

now you have got over the grief the thieving shits caused how about some tweaks to site ,good/bad ebay section and gustie want a variant section

i just want a different bloody saber colour

Sound advice Edd

Glad to hear the insurance company paid up :D

nice to hear mate, so you ready to have a spending spree to build your collection up again, what are you going for tri logos again?

Did all of this just come under your general insurance, or did you have to have them covered under their own policy?

Good to hear you got your cash back.

With all the publicity the thief may never get rid of your stuff, would be sad if your collection has been destroyed by the culprit.

Good to hear you actually got your money back Edd!

Are you going to get back into collecting or have you other plans for the money!?

I'm not sure at the moment! I'm definitely going to keep most of what I have left for the near future, but am planning to sell a few bits. I will probably just collect for fun now rather than trying to get lots of expensive stuff, might venture into baggies or something.

See, you're learning all the time and that's how the variant addiction kicks in !!

I'm learning...........to ignore threads that have "Variant" in the title or that ask about a specific figure!

The sooner we get a wee dungeon (section) we can lock you variant lovers up in, the better!

harsh!

heres one forr you weasel...

if i had a lili ledy Vader and a M.I.M Vader next to each other what would be the differences?? if any?

Im glad to hear that you got your compensation Edd. No news on any of your stuff turning up? I hope that the theif gets some bad Karma in return (or a ****ing good shoeing) Maybe we could ask Gary to Ninjitsu-ise the mo fo if he is ever identified!! :)
