EPISODE 24 : Let's Just B-Wing It

On this month's Vintage Rebellion Podcast it's UK meets US as Chivecast host Stephen Danley joins the Rebellion to talk Focus Collecting, Chivecast and his Collection of Capacitance amongst many other things, whilst Grant welcomes Cathy Kendrick to the show on this months oddballs to discuss Star Wars Trading Cards.

On this months Newest Acquisitions Jez discusses item's purchased by the community over the last month including ESB 18 back Meccano Boba Fett, ATL Interceptor and an exciting discovery surrounding a 15" Darth Vader. As well as many other items, Marco Jay joins the NA to chat about his Lily Ledy Boxed Snow Speeder that he's recently acquired.

As well as all this Pete picks through the highlights of the recent Vectis Auction and Rich chats Mailer Mysteries, 12 inches and Fett rockets in Rebel Briefings.

All this plus much more on the Vintage Rebellion, enjoy the show!!!

Enjoyed Steve's interview, I also remember first shots etc coming up for sale fairly regularly in the early days of Rebel Scum. If only we'd known...

Thanks for a great show, as ever.

I've been noticing that when Jez is reminiscing or reading the descriptions of toys, he has the relaxing voice of someone reading a bedtime story. It's just the sort of soothing and reassuring tones I expect from an older father figure.

I'd like to request Jez release a show of him reading out the descriptions from Star Wars boxes for such times I can't get to sleep or am afraid of the dark.

:)
The Display Arena was a UK mail-away. It went under my radar at the time but there are Arena cardbacks with Palitoy addresses stickered over them. There was an advert in the UK comic too.

Hi guys,

I could have sworn that I had registered for the forum but low and behold, I hadn't. Just wanted to say thanks again for the invitation to come on and for the hospitality! I'm still a bundle of nervous awkwardness when recording our own podcast, so to be on another is always tough for me. Glad that something decent came out of it in the end. :)

Sorry I won't be making it to London but I hope to see you all in Orlando next year. Keep up the great work.

Just like to add that I called this during the show and was just told "No", so Rich you owe me a ten minute apology next month

Another fantastic listen and almost through this epic length one (no argument there).

It was interesting hearing about displaying the cut cards as this is something I did a while ago and took it one step closer - http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13119

I still have a sealed large head Han Palitoy 12 back and a Kenner 21 back Boba Fett cut card to do the same treatment so I'll post those up when I finally get around to doing them. It'll be a way of owning these two mocs (sort of), as I'd never be able to afford to buy them even if I could find them.

Keep up the great work lads, it's always a highlight to the month. :D

Well done lads - you entertained me all the way to Bedford and back. Enjoyable interviews as ever and I liked the quiz being at the end, a good way to finish.

It was good to hear Steve remember seeing vintage at Kaybees in the late 80s and hear about micromachines - a very underated line

All finished now and it was me that mentioned Grants theories on EP 8 and I did realise at the time that it was just a theory and not a rumor but thought that it sounded so plausible that it could be true. No harm done really and after thinking about it some more it didn't quite make sense for some reason that I can't remember now (due to both age and me purposely trying to put it out of my mind).

I know you guys don't go near the spoilers with this podcast and my feeling of slight disappointment has now gone away (mainly because I've watched the rogue one trailer over and over) .

As I said earlier keep up the great work, it's going to be another long month waiting for the next one

One complaint and it's about NON-spoilers - WTF! Oh well.

Anyway, another ace one folks. Lots of great info and stuff I knew nothing about. Amazing you find so much to fill 4 hours each month.
