THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 24 LAUNCHED

I finished listening last night. Another great main interview and the Topps one was also a great insight as a digital app card collector.

One complaint and it's about NON-spoilers - WTF! Oh well.

Don't quite get your drift?

Ian

That it was a dumb complaint. It's the equivalent of someone commenting on a film they've not even seen.

 Thanks for that, I'll remember not to ever have an opinion about anything on here

Sorry, was the complaint yours? Did I miss that there were no spoilers, because there aren't any? Wasn't it clear that they were saying that it was just their opinions/guesses on what might happen? No one knows exactly as Disney will keep all the details super secret?

If you take a look at my post 7 above your last you'll see my reason for mentioning it.

I'm quite clear on all of your points (as mentioned in my previous post) and know that none of the guys on the podcast team have an inside scoop on the details of the next film, in a way I probably have a better way of finding things out with connections to ILM and people who are currently working on ep 8 and rogue one (not that I would ever ask as I'd rather not know). Quite simply I've tried to completely switch off to even thinking about what could come next and would rather let it unfold. I was the first person to suggest starting a new section for all the new films coming just so that people who didn't want to know anything had a chance to avoid hearing anything. I remember at the time it met some resistance but in the end was set up and I feel it's been working really well and judging by the amount of threads in there it's getting some good use. also managed to avoid everything (and everybody's theories ), on episode 7 and really enjoyed watching the film and letting it unfold.

As I mentioned there's really no harm done and I'm not trying to start something here but do feel it was a legit request of mine at the time and it seems that the podcast team will keep the speculation down on future shows (well it is called the vintage rebellion after all). I feel I've now taken up enough space on this matter in this section and hope you can now see my point.

Peace and love :)

Thanks for a great show, as ever.

I've been noticing that when Jez is reminiscing or reading the descriptions of toys, he has the relaxing voice of someone reading a bedtime story. It's just the sort of soothing and reassuring tones I expect from an older father figure.

I'd like to request Jez release a show of him reading out the descriptions from Star Wars boxes for such times I can't get to sleep or am afraid of the dark.

Dam it, i've just spilt my juice laughing at this

Thanks for all of the great feedback lads. We are really pleased with this one.
I'm enjoying these more and more and we are all having fun personalising our own individual edits.
Please remember to keep your eyes out for NA stuff, what interests you?

Not long now until Celebration, lots of fun planned for that badger.

Finally, don't forget your to go for the £100 worth of Iain credit, your chances are really high!

I enjoyed Rich's bit on Star Wars Collectors Cast too via a bit of bootleg recording of his Fett talk at ( probably? ) Farthest From.

Which reminds me of my suggestion. Could talks from FF be recorded and included within the podcast? Maybe I'm in a minority for never attending so it would be pointless, or maybe it would detract from the point of actually being there. My own situation is that I can't go due to atrocious health so I always appreciate recordings like that.

Interesting point, we do have the recording facilities to do this so will discuss with the rest of the team for future FF presentations.

Great, great show, fellas. Can't believe the 5 hrs went so fast. Sounded a long time when Jez did the Marathon in that time. Must have seemed like a walk in the park in reality, Jez :D

The interviews were great although gutted there was no part 2 of Pete's toy shop interviews! Chop chop, Pete ;)

Great idea for broadcasting the FF presentations.

Ok so I am new here, but I have listened to all the podcasts, learnt a lot, laughed a lot and felt that I was no longer alone in the galaxy (warning prone to introspection).

The podcasts are great, the standard ever increasing and for me with a visual imagination such great descriptions that I feel like I am there. Which brings me on to the only, highly personal issue I have with the last episode....

Star Wars tracker count down, number two and they mentioned the ****ing human centipede !!!! - the jawa innocence is lost and for the rest of my work day all I could hear was in my head a muffled ooutini ....

Keep up the great work your inspiring the new collectors ! Cheers.

Wow! Welcome to the forum Geeky Monkey!
A truly heart warming feedback post. I did piss myself when I first heard the Human Centipede comment too!
Thanks for joining us :D

He's a guy in his mid 80s, so might take a while.. There is another interview coming next podcast though about something else... :p

Tried loads of times to write a review, but just get the 'Nickname already taken' message, no matter what I change the nickname too. Googled it and looks like a very common problem with no fix. Rubbish!

Same here. Won't work.

Have tried logged in, not logged in, every nickname under the sun etc etc, but there's no fix. Apple have been very lazy- they've probably missed thousands of reviews as a result
