As a child I was a fairly committed collector and had enough paper rounds to collect most of the ROTJ stuff.
The one I never managed to get was the imperial shuttle as it was expensive at the time and I can only remember
seeing them once or twice so I was just wondering which pieces you guys never managed to get

Wasn't much at all that avoided my grubby little paws to be honest...I was very lucky and also very focused on Star Wars toys when young. Never really bothered with other stuff and couldn't believe when my so called "friends" turned up with arms full of He-Man sh-t and said "lets play!" pfff...soon sent them packing!

But for me, the one that stood out as something I remember never getting was also, the Imperial Shuttle...and I only actually got around to adding one last year (thanks Iain!)...

That AT-AT stands out as the one I never had as a kid.
There was more that I liked and never had such as the snow speeder and Hoth play set. I actually bought the Hoth playset some months back from a mate of mine.

Only ever had a few figures as a kid for some reason.....never owned a single ship, rig or playset. Had a load if LEGO though and built whatever i wanted from that.

Cloud car was so rare in our village it was a complete myth.

Scooternick claimed he new someone with one but I never believed him.
I would have killed for that vehicle as a kid.

I never owned an AT-AT (too expensive :-() or a Snowspeeder as a child. Actually, that's not strictly true. I bought and owned a Snowspeeder for about half a day whilst on a family holiday to Loch Ness of all places, but when I excitedly opened the box back at our Guest House, there was a missing part, so it went back to the shop. Sadly though, the shop didn't have any more Snowspeeders in stock and so I had to settle for a Turret & Probot playset instead. Every cloud! :)

For me, as detailed here: http://starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30932 it was the Laser Pistol. Searched high and low for it and never got one until got into collecting again as an adult. Other than that we had a fantastic toy shop in Sheffield called Redgates (now sadly gone) which had most of the ships etc we wanted. For some reason a strong memory for me is desperately wanting Luke's Landspeeder and being so excited to receive it at Christmas :)

Imperial Shuttle for me as well - was expensive and I think I was kinda growing out of playing with SW at that point (think it was late in the ROTJ line)

For me it was the Sandcrawler. I never once saw it in stores and I believe they stopped making it shortly after Empire came out. I finally got a loose one last year, which made me very happy. :)

Me and nobody in the neighbourhood ever got an AT-AT. But was the first one offered to me as an adult collector ... and grabbed it!

Always wanted a y wing or b wing but got the rebel troop transport instead, happy I still have it now but at the time I thought, Mum why pick this and not one of the cool ships , they did get me the at-at, mel falcon, and darth vaders tie and x wing for birthdays and xmas so cannot complain. Most of the main toys were bought empire time so never got a sandcrawler or landspeeder, but did have the star wars blow up light saber top toy burst in the first year thou :)

There was a rumour going around school that they had released an Imperial Shuttle. I didn't know anyone who had one, nor did I ever see one in a shop or even know how much they were. One day I'd saved some money so we went to Newcastle to search for one. It wasn't to be. Came back with Rebel Troop Transport instead.

How much were they when they came out? I know they were expensive. Could never work out if the reason they were scarce was because they were pricey or if they just rare and so sold as soon as they hit the shelves.

Palitoy Death Star. Searched high and low and couldn't find one.

Picked one up in 93 for £80 :D

I seem to remember £49.99 but I could be wrong it was a long time ago..

Between me and my brother we had quite a lot of stuff, but I remember playing with a friend's Palitoy Death Star and another friend's Imperial Troop Transporter and desperately wanting those. I still love both but I think the one I wanted most was the Death Star; for a cardboard playset it was one of the coolest things ever.

I suppose the big two that stand out for me are the AT-AT and the Falcon but I was lucky in having a Y-Wing, Interceptor and X-Wing

So many things i wanted as a kid: Falcon, X-Wing, AT AT etc. Hence therefore delighted that these badgers are all available now as a big kid.
