I was never likely to get the ships because they were expensive but once i saw SW on ITV in christmas 84 i really wanted a Luke farmboy figure. Such an iconic figure. Impossible to find the first 12 on ROTJ cards let alone a Luke farmboy back then. Late in the day of the original SW toys run (84/85) i never saw Palitoy cards only Kenner 77 backs and very very rarely 65 backs.

By the time I was taking myself around the toy shops and choosing what I wanted it was mostly Jedi only, which pretty much meant all the really cool stuff was gone ...all the toys I thought were cool anyway.

A friend had a micro collection Hoth set which I thought was the nuts bit never saw in shops.

But the thing I always needed was a Jawa. Should have been easy to find but I never ever saw one in shops :-/

I am still sore from never having the AT AT and FALCON. In fairness my parents never had the money to get me the largest of vehicles so I always ended up playing with them when I stayed at a friends house. If only we could turn back the clock. Lol.

Exactly the same. Although it was my Dad being tight (sensible) according to my mum. They were on my Christmas list for 3 years running and I never got them. Still give my mum grief about it now although she did change that about a year ago when she came home from a car boot with a boxed complete Falcon :lol:
