Well,i had a pleasant surprise today. My old lady phoned me up and said she found a box of mine full of 'Star Wars crap' as my father put it.She just told me it was full of Star Wars figure cards/boxes and that Dad was going to bin it thinking it was rubbish.I have no idea what is in there exactly, but will be picking it up sometime this week. From what she said its loads of figure packages.

Quite surprised, but it all fits into place. Basically in around 2005 i had to sell my home due to a bitch of an ex and moved in with my parents until i found a place to rent.Hence, all of my Star Wars gear was stored in a bedroom loft space until i buggered off. This one box was stored out of view in a corner, and was forgotten about by myself. They were having work done on the boiler, and the tank is also in the loft so the box was stumbled upon today. As i said, the old man was cursing me;)

I know i had a shitload of cardbacks but thought id got them all when i moved on.I was in a sad state in 2005-2006 and had sold 99% of my collection to enable me to pay bills, so SW was possibly the last thing i could spend money on.

Cant wait to see these. I know i had a thing about great cards, with minimal tearing but im just hoping its them and not the ones that looked like they were bitten by rabid dogs:) If it is some nicer ones,it frees up some spending dosh for me:):):)

How great! I love stories like this. Genuine loft finds are ace!
I hope its the ones you want, either way its a dear diary moment.

This never happens to me. I spend loads of time up people's lofts due to my job and I'm always casting my eye around looking for long lost collections but the only thing I ever see is insulation and rat sh#t

Great stuff...congrats bud, can't wait to see the find.

It's in the loft.....I won't say it ....but we know what lurks in lofts, don't we

Great stuff we are all now awaiting the pics mate :D

I will piss myself if it was the dancing Jar Jar Binks that your parents bought you for Christmas one year and forget to give it to you.

Well, it wasnt a Jar Jar dancing figure, but these :D

Nearly 170 cardbacks and a Rebo Band box-the rebo band i remember taking the mint figures off because the large bubble was smashed and yellows and i wanted a mint set. its like a step back through time for me getting these. Sad to say they will be moving on with around 40 other cards that i kept from my Tri run etc. Im not a cardback guy anymore, so ill more than likely be selling these. Will get some pics up soon of them all with the cards i had in my collection now-this is gonna be manic.

As i say, my father was going to bin these!!!!!

That photo is awesome. I'm sorry that it wasn't exactly the find you were hoping for but at least it wasn't the Jar Jar.
Thank God for Mothers indeed!

Hey Jez,

Any Star Wars find is a good,un. I kind of got the hint when mum said to me.The way i see it, ive got some money going to other things and i can pass these on to people who will want them.
