Yes it's Italian.

As far as I know there is UK, Kenner USA, Canadian, French, clipper, German and brazillian versions. If anyone knows of any others please let me know.

No it was a board game company capiepa, the Italian one is from edritice giochi rather than Harbert and I think the German one is branded Parker.
