SWFUK PODCAST LAUNCHED

Listened to it over a couple of days, loved every second of it.
Liked what you set out to achieve – inform, educate, entertain. Here's what I really liked and enjoyed about it –

I'm on this forum every day because I love SW & SW collecting and the community here is the best. Listening to the podcast expanded on all these things e.g. remember looking at Iains 3 packs on latest acquisitions but was great to hear a bit of background on their origins and numbers/availability.

For me it took the community feeling to a new level, there are a lot of forum members that due to travel distance will probably never make an organised meet up like furthest from, so getting to put a voice (and live personality) to a user name is pretty good.

I think the interviews with members will always be my favourite segment, would honestly love to hear what everyone's first SW memory and first figure/vehicle was as that's what we all share and have in common.

Thought the running time was spot on, have a lazy afternoon and enjoy it surrounded by your collection or split it over a few commutes. Something I worry about is the time I spend online looking for new pieces for my collection instead of looking at the things I have. As my wife points out I sit in a room full of my favourite things but I have my back to them and stare at a PC screen instead. I easily spend 90% of my SW time looking to buy things either from the forum or ebay. So I'm using the podcast as time I spend appreciating and enjoying my own collection – No searching while I'm listening!

As others have said thanks for the time and effort you've all put in, very much appreciated
Can't wait for the next one

Might I suggest an hour & half would be a suitable length????

Thanks for the feedback

To be honest could be even longer if we leave in all Ben's input like using double mics and throwing books about

Thanks to everyone for their feedback, we really do appreciate all the comments good and bad and we're taking them all on board.

Remember if you fancy being interviewed in the forum member interview drop me a PM

 Duly 'Liked'. I would just like to echo Colin's comments... it really is great to hear the voices behind the collections. Incredibly informative, and raised many a smile... although I'm still going through it in short, sporadic bursts... looking forward to hearing about the Helix collection, Grant- I really am 8)

My last comment somehow did not show up, but I'll post again.

GREAT job guys. I wanted to hate the show because y'all were such knobshites to our show, but I loved it. I could obviously go on with pages and pages of comments, but I'll avoid being officious and just leave it at that.

Please we need 7 more likes to hit 100. I'm intrigued as to what happens as facebook is very excited about this.
I'm hoping for strippers.

Don't do Facebook, but made an exception in this case and "liked" :? Don't have a clue what that means but did it anyway

I echo what the guys are saying, great to hear the voices of members, that you will probably never meet, superb content, and for me the longer the podcast the better, it's another SW addition that's informative entertaining and hugely enjoyable.

Awesome stuff guys.....here's to a long line of podcasts to come :D 8)

Great work lads - haven't listened to it all yet but the bits I have heard are brilliant - nice to know that my voice isn't too high pitched - although I think coming back to Eat Anglia has bought out the farmer in me again

I would echo the comments about it being quite long (hence i haven't heard it all yet) - I appreciate that in order for some of the interviews to stay relevant then you needed to get this out ASAP but would say that in the future if it was an hour - two hours long and came out more regularly then this would be great

Still amazing work - hats off to all of you as I wouldn't know the first thing about setting something like this up - good luck to those of you that they choose to interview next time - I really enjoyed it :D

Podcast is fantastic. Been listening for just over an hour and it never gets boring. Good to hear what the guys have to say. Even better when you've met some of these chaps and can put a face to a voice! :)

Just as a couple of others have said - could do with splitting up into sections. Three and a half hours is quite a chunk of time.

This is so good. I'm just over halfway through so far.

Professional, informative, you all sound like you've been doing this for years

It brings the community together in a different way - absolutely love it and obviously a lot of time and effort put into it.

Well done guys. :)

Fantastic effort guys, enjoying it so far.

As a relatively new forum member, really good for me to be able to put voices / characters to names of the good folk I've dealt with on here. And has given me a good insight into where next to go, as I near the end of my loose run.

Thanks & keep up the good work!

I like it, i am not fully through yet (around 1,5 hour now) but its a great first podcast.

Like other have stated, 3,5 hours is a long time, better to make shorter podcasts or split them up in pieces of 1 hour or something as i (and i assume many others) don't have always time to listen to a podcast for 3,5 hours.

Anyway, looking forward ot hearing the rest and up to the next episode.

Alos like to add, wich i really like about Skye's vintage podcast is that he post pictures off items and subject that are beeing discussed, maybe this is an idea you guys could use aswell so people don't need to search trough the forum to see the items again that are talked about.

Just listening to this now!! This is fantastic! Excellent work guys! As others have said it adds an extra dimension to the forum and means I can add an voice to many members I am yet to have the joy of meeting!

Also Its great to listen to a podcast where you can understand what the guys are saying and is aimed at a UK audience! (Nothing against Skye and his excellent chivecast tho)

Edit - I have even learned something new already! Never heard of a "Hollow tubes" IG88. Great stuff Rich mate :)
