Hey

i have been browsing around and yep the more i look the more i understand why i am seriously excited when i go an buy a figure or ship, most of which i never had as a kid.
This site has been great as a help, but also it pretty scary how you start out kinda like, "hey i will just buy the ones i like and think are cool" and end up " arrrrghhhh muct get every damn java variation ever made, who cares if the kids dont eat only two to go"

I am some where in the middle right now i have a few loose figures and some paraphenalia, i am not really interested in droids or bounty hunters or the rebels, but as my name suggests the good auld imperial army.

So rather than try and collect the princess leia with the kenner mustache i am gonna try and get a few hundred imperial soldiers like this, (i know it been done with new style figures *spit* but with origional SW?)

holland3.jpg

so what i am looking for is loose stormtroopers , biker scouts, tie fighters and interceptors, they need to be complete but not perfect, oh and white not yellowed.

what i have at the moment is a weird collection of figure ships etc, photos later list below

ships;

darth vaders tie fighter (thrashed)
AT AT (also pretty thrashed)
Small imperial shuttle (ehh?? thrashed)
2 x AT ST walkers (ok conditon)
snowspeeder (missin bits)
small grey ship, cant rememeber name.

figures; only listing the interesting ones

han solo in carbonite - think it is the potf one (see i am getting the hang of abbrv's)
Assorted ewoks
Luke tantoonine with gmfgi 1977 hong kong on his leg. i got him as kid from an aunt in canada, along with ceepee-30 who has the same on his leg.
R2-d2 in awful condition with the same mark around his base.

various;

return of the jedi book
star wars passport i won in a colouring competition with a poster of the ewoks.
Small version of lukes speeder.
various books and colouring books and tape books.

I will get photos up soon , most of it is well played with but hey.

So if folks would like to dig out loose imperial stuff and let me know i am kinda looking for job lots, as in getting a plastic bag of 20 stormtroopers rather than one moc with hindu price tag

thanks again for puttin up a great site and getting me hooked as.

steve

Right

I can certainly help you with the imperial stuff as I am selling off my imperial army.....I sold over 20 stormtroopers just the weekend!!

I also have other figures if interested.

Drop me a PM and we can go from there.

Can't at the moment. Work PC doesn't give me access to photobucket. Though for some reason it's allowing me to access here....can't see pictures though :?

Will post when I get home.

Though I think it's probably in my collection thread in the Vintage showcase forum on here.

dont wanne sound like an asshole , but seriusly how big of a fan are you , i mean

ceepee 30 , even my mom knows that its c3po , i mean are ya kidding me

i find it hard to take the rest of it seriuos when you type things like that

verry true , but i was asking things like , what's the meaning of most abbrevations , not cee me pee 3 times

and i was gonna hold it in , but then i see him type things like what's his name , 3eyes and ceepee30

btw it's wee-guay reeyees and c3p0

now miss spelling is one thing , but that just whent over the top right there

anyway been having a bad time but the worst is behind me , that might have something to do with it :?

hey jimmy,

i kinda explained things over in the Vintage showcase, so read below if you didnt see it,, and i am sorry if my newbieness got to you.

"Hey
Thanks again for the help with the gmfgi thing.

As i said these are the toys i have always had and i dug em up while moving house and that kicked off the idea of getting the ones that i never had as a kid.
The strange thing i vividly remember is never being able to buy an interceptor or certain figures in ireland, probably cause of demand (ireland was down on the shipping list) or by the time i got to a shop they were gone.

Jimmymindtricks, yeah it's crap that i dont have an encyclopedic knowledge of every star wars figure, but i dont need too, cause i just like the ones i like, and thats it.
And no i am not serious , as there are more important things in life than tiny antique plastic figures.
However i do love star wars and i was born in '77 and all my childhood years were spent trying to get more than a literal handful of figures together, i even made a death star out of a styrofoam block aged 8 ??

So maybe i dont know off the top of my head all the names and variations of Weequay or Ree-Yees (did i pronouce that correctly?) or i fluffed up typing SEE-THREEPIO (C-3PO) .

BUT even if i did it didnt deserve your response, so lighten up, and try a see things from my perspective, i said i am new to this??

Steve "

 oh god, that to me is my personal holy grail, i think it might get a Stormtrooper-a-thon going and see if i can raise even 100.
I have very little interest in MOC/MInty unopened stuff as i dont see much point in looking at a box in the case of a vehicle but the carded ones are nice but way too pricey.

However i do get the feeling that having a mini toy shop in your spare room , the one you dreamed of finding when you were a kid.(and probably still do)

I have just built a house and i have some nice shelves in my living room , that really would look good full of vehicles and figures.
It will be kinda an odball room as i am currently building a lazy recliner from old skateboard decks
But mostly its the memories all the stuff will kick off .

i have a few vehicles to buy this month , so after that its figure time.

what does moc mean? im trying to learn lingo cheers

At last i think i may be able to pass on info,,,,i may even graduate from noob status
MOC - Mint on card / mounted on card, although i think it is the former.

hey bottles i havent been on the forum or collecting much longer than you have but you should have see the confusion i had when i first landed.
I didnt even know what ESB or ROTJ meant (empire strikes back, return/revenge of the jedi) well more "return",cause if you have something with revenge on it your are damn lucky.

theres a thread on the forum somewhere with "abreviations for beginners "

hope that helps

steve

:) nope i dont think so they are just the steroid filled Power of the force, which came after the final run of the ROTJ figures.

But i dont think they are fake, but there is a fakes thread. which you could put em on if you think they are fishy, personally i really dont like the POTF ones ,they just look wrong.
Kinda of a half arsed cash in when things went nuts with the toy craze after the last film (ROTJ). hmmm?

steve

The figures are vintage mate if you are unsure about what is vintage or not just check rebelscum.com photo archives, a good place for anyone new to Star Wars figure collecting. Also i would check out SithNET Jawas Armoury and The Imperial Gunnery site so you don't get stung by sellers with repro crap

ps I dont think many members on here will agree with you when you say potf last 15 figures are rubbish if you said POTF 2 1995 figures maybe. I think you may be mixing them up, the vintage POTF Luke Stormtrooper was a great figure in my opinion and if your talking about them looking as if they were on steroids :?
you may be talking about a quote by Mark Hamill saying his new figure looked as if he was on steroids but that was about his POTF 2 figure not the last 15 figures 1984-85.

:P yeah, I know the first potf are still vintage but I didn't know about potf 2 being 1995 , that explains the tie fighter question I had up.
I personally prefer the pre-potf figures but that's just my preference.

Didn't know about the mark hamill quote either.

Still green really green , thanks

Steve

What set up?? An imperial army??
Well I am making my way through the ships and soon I will be getting imperials by the shovel load . A man can never have too many stormtroopers.

Gary "sith" smith has a photo you will need to see of emperors arrival with extra shuttles. It is amazing. And his full collections is taking the piss it's so good .
When you ask for a ship or figure , he asks " how many do you want???" and anything from loose to misb moc etc. Crazy crazy
