So what do you think would make this MOC fail an AFA grade? Is it the added "invisible mark" that will fail the UV test?

"WARNING: DUE TO SOME BUYERS ABUSING OF THE BUYERS PROTECTION PROGRAM AND RETURNING BROKEN OR NONE WORKING ITEMS THAT ARE NOT THE ORIGINAL ITEM WE SHIPPED OUT, WE ARE NOW USING AN INVISIBLE STAMP WITH OUR LOGO, TO MAKE SURE THAT IF AN ITEM IS RETURNED IT WILL BE THE ACTUAL ITEM WE SOLD."

Or is it the fact that it's an early steam iron Toni with the V of the steam iron clearly visible between the double stems.

This card is doubly ****ed!

I've been a good boy and messaged the seller:-

"Hi there, this is an obvious steam iron reseal from Toy Toni, you can see from the melted seal and the V of the steam iron between the double stems. You should mention that in the listing.

Also, every vintage star wars item that you put your "invisible" ink mark on, is an item that you are irreparably damaging. They will fail the UV light test that AFA use when grading the cards and be rejected for having ink applied. You should stop doing that."

Guess the response now:-

1) Get lost numb nuts
2) See 1)

Well that was a good result. The seller hadn't stamped any of his 900 items (non Star Wars included) yet and I think he is unlikely to now that I have pointed out the AFA grading problem.

And he asked if Toni's are worth more or less than originals. I was gentle with him.

:-p

The listing now says Palitoy/Toni Toy. Price is still the same.

Did the guy appear to understand what you were on about? Maybe he thought you meant like a rare variant :?

Well, at least it says Toy Toni now. I think the fact that 900+ collectables are not going to get ruined with an invisible stamp is the big win in here!
