Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and need some advice. I found a video of Star Wars (1977) today in a local charity shop for 50p.

It is in a CBS/Fox Video case and is from the Twentieth Century Fox Video Rental Library. The date on the box is 1982.

The VHS and Box both contain the code TCFV UK.

Have I stumbled across a rare video? Ebay seem to list them for some amount but I'd love to know a bit more about it.

Thanks

James

Don't get your hopes up...

There might be some VHS that are rarer and worth a bit more, but I have got loads of 'em and they are all worth bugger all :D

I think i'm right in saying, only the pre-cert stuff is worth anything?
Of course I may be talking bollocks!

I know some pre cert Bond movies are desirable really due to the covers , but even those will struggle to make a fiver.

Not sure about Star Wars I would be , probably 50p is spot on - I could be wrong though

Pre-cert VHS tapes go for some money but nothing amazing. I sold one a year or so ago. Think i got 20odd quid for it. Something like that.
