Star Wars Rebels will focus on six main characters on a ship called Ghost:

Kanan Jarrus - Jedi Padawan
Ezra Bridger - 14 year old human thief (please not an Ahsoka type character)
Hera Syndulla - owner of the Ghost. Twi'lek
Zeb Orrelious - the muscle of the crew
Sabine Wren - Mandolorian (because we need more obviously)
Chopper - feisty (how many times do we hear that about SW characters) astromech droid

Being chased by the Inquisitor - Dark Jedi?

Also - Bossk makes an appearance

This actually looks like it could be really good. Wasn't into the Clone Wars series. Didn't like the animation/style and it was set in the prequels world and, well, who gives a ****?? But this looks like a much more promising and interesting premise and if they stick to Ralph McQuarrie's style they can't go wrong.

I really liked The Clone Wars for the most part and it got better and better. I think it's biggest fault came from Lucas as with the prequels. I think with many talents having the freedom to work, this will be excellent.

The constant announcements for Rebels and Episode VII is going to reflect the original trilogy makes me think that everyone wants to right the wrongs and give us what we all anticipated back in the 1990's.

The John Williams music as the Ghost fights the TIE Fighters gave me chills.

I wonder if the people who aren't honest about how poor a lot of the prequels was will come out of the closet when they have new and better original Star Wars to enjoy?

I thought there was some great stuff in the clone wars, a lot of rot too, but I'm glad it's over, and no more prequel stuff. I want smugglers, bounty hunters, dodgy droids, feisty princesses and space battles. Not politics, banking, senates, and binks. Having said that, the binks episodes with mace windu in the lost missions were bearable.
