I don't really mind paying it. They put a lot of work into interviewing many people for the documentary. It was a kick-starter project where people can donate money, and though they got $9000 for it, its still not much when you think of the cost of everything. I mean big budget films go for about £15 in the shops, so a small company production, about the awesomeness of vintage star wars, I have no qualms paying.

If I can justify spending excessive amounts on small pieces of thirty year old plastic in the form of star wars toys, I can't grumble about paying £20 shipped for a DVD all about those star wars toys!

I couldn't have expressed it any better.

I wish there was a Blu Ray version.

Ordered mine. No excuse for people in the states not to buy they get free shipping ;)

I love stuff like this. And without getting on my high horse its important that a community such as us supports it. As somebody who puts a lot of time into things doing stuff like football fanzines, volunteering, kids coaching etc you appreciate the thanks and support of others within said community even when you arent necessarily doing it for any thanks or fiscal benefit, you do it because you want to. Thus this is something that reflects our history, our present day and should be wholeheartedly supported. Its not been done by some big studio, which no doubt many will happily throw cash at without thinking, this is real film making. This is how people like George Lucas started before he became Merchandizilla.

Big 40 birthday soon.... ahem.. (cough.. come on loved ones)

The shipping is excessive to say the least, (i can post a DVD to the States for about £2-3) Wouldn't it be cheaper, shipping wise, if 5 or 6 of us bought them in one order and then one person posts them once they arrive? I mean, 6 people buying this are paying $78 shipping. I mean, jesus ****ing christ!! :o

I'm by trying to bad mouth this project but I'm glad someone else picked up on the postage charges. How come it's $12 for us and free shipping in the states??

very simple overseas shipping costs about 4 x as MUCH as it does within usa and if they posted this worldwide for free they would only have about an $8 buck profit for the actual dvd , free post within the states will be about $3 bucks which means a profit about $17 per dvd ,you cant really expect them to make about 17 bucks of the yanks per flm and only 8 bucks per dvd of the brits do you

Yeah, shipping to the UK from the US is obscenely expensive unfortunately. I'm not sure it needs to be as much as $13 for a DVD but it is expensive.

But as i said, if one of us were to buy 6 or 7 DVDs all in one order then the shipping will be cheaper and they can be send out once they get here. Would cost 90p 1st class.
