£5000 but I am open to sensible offers. It is on ebay as well with a start bid of £3500.

A large Palitoy Star Wars Return of the Jedi promotional Toy display unit dating from the early 1980's/1983.

The display was used by Palitoy UK under licence by Kenner USA as a feature at toy exhibitions around the world including New York, London and Germany. It was the only one produced.

The display unit has been exquisitely made & has black felt on the top & sides. It has a curved shape to the front with plastic Perspex. It is in very good condition with no damage to display unit or the actual display.

It contains the following:

62x action figures all unplayed with & stuck down.
2x Creatures.
12x ships/vehicles/mini-rigs.

I have personally given the display unit a very good clean including the black felt.

I bough this from a very reputable auction house here in the UK. A full typed letter of provenance will be included by the original owner.

Please copy & paste the links into your search bar.

I have also added a video showing the toys moving & the display cabinet lights up.

That is probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen, I knew there were a few of these large sized shop displays around but I had no idea some were fully kitted out with electronics and could move/light up! The video is great!

Who else thinks this belongs in Gary Smith's front room?

There were a couple of shop displays at Celebration Europe in the Palitoy Archive. Looking back at those photos, this one is much nicer. Especially with the moving parts and lights.
What kind of mullah are looking for to part with it?

Amazing piece Rich, something you definitely don't see every day & good luck with the sale! :D

That really doesn't seem a bad price for that thing. It is unbelievably cool and by far the coolest vintage item i've ever seen. If i had the cash and a place to put it i'd buy it for sure! 8)

Now this is an item that does earn the 'WOW!' at the end. Earns a L@@K too.

Good luck selling it Rich. Might be worth sending the pictures to the SW collector's archive afterwards?

I remember seeing those sort of things in toy shops as kid, I swear they were two or three times that size, although that could be my memory playing tricks on me.

Very cool find though! 8)

That is just one serious piece of 'SW' history!

I could probably speak for a few more when I say, 'I'd find it very hard to part with'.

It's a very cool item and display, Its not a one off though as I have seen a couple more over the years and also a couple of them that are even larger in size.
