Over the weekend I'm going to set up emulation station on a raspberry pi to play old Star Wars games.
I remember the JVC Star Wars from the NES days and that was bloody hard, never completed it. I got as far as the Death Star interior if memory serves me correctly.
A while back I set up an emulator on the Mac and played a really random Japanese Star Wars (Anh) game. This game was so so strange... And terribly difficult.
This is the bad boy: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_(1987_video_game)
Good luck if you play it.
The SNES Super Star Wars is being released on PS4 via download. I think it's being released in Europe soon but already out in the USA.
Those 'super' games were amazing.
Got the super star wars download free with battlefront along with bounty hunter a pod racer and starfighter revenge games from ps2
Super star wars a classic
I beat Super Star Wars when it came out but did find the cheat where you drop off the cliff near the start and tuck into the left to collect 99 extra lives. Also I had a joystick that could slow the game down and that was the only way I could blow up the death Star.
I remember having a fair few games for the console but the day after I beat Star Wars (the only reason I bought the console in the first place), I put it all up on trade it and sold it. I have since borrowed my mates machine and got all three of the games. They're all pretty much the same layout but I had forgotten how tricky they can be to play……wish I still had that joystick with the slow mo button
I managed to beat super star wars when I was a kid but when I fired it up recently I couldn't get past the first level. My thumbs aren't as quick as they used to be.
The Super Star Wars was a game i never was able to beat as a kid.
The super Empire strikes back and Super Return of the Jedi i did, but these 2 had codes (kinda like a save game) if you passed a certain point, you would get a code and you could always use that code to start from that point again.
Glad i'm not the only one would couldn't beat them. Have managed to beat the Snes games yes they are hard but they can be done unlike the Nes versions.
