Star Wars Fan Fun Day - Burnley - May the 4th

I went to this last year to this along with Grant, Mike Sith, Andy section 8, Barry x-pack and a couple of others.
It is a good event for families but the vintage offerings is slim and over priced. I'll go this year if other things fall into place but I'm not expecting to.
I would not go to this event for vintage SW but I would go to take children as it is SW.

It is more of a family event and vintage SW is a bit thin on the ground at this show, although I think Star Zone Toys were there last year offering a few vintage items. For me it's fairly local and worth the trip but it's no Farthest From.

i went last year too really enjoyed it ,will deffo try and get to this again if i can
saw Dave Prowse and Kenny Baker but to be honest i didnt think kenny was looking very well :(
Do we know what actors are going to be there yet

First one of these was 2008

It's 10 mins down the road for me so I will be there :D

It's got busier every year, some vintage, but some good cosplay there usually, and opportunity for autographs

As Rich said, few of us met up last year, hopefully be a few more this year :D

Barry ...try not to knock Darth Vader over this year

I completely forgot about that

I'll most likely be there. It's the bank holiday isn't it? Not doing anything else. Might bring the young lad if he's up for it.

SWFFD is good for cast, cosplay and displays. Not bad for modern bits and bobs. It's the vintage that's way overpriced. You can't beat Farthest From for vintage.

Yep I'll be there Barry be with my lad again

Wasn't there some talk of a vintage section, separately, or have I dreamt that up :?:

Section for OAP s like me

I'm sure there was talk of a separate section after last year, may have been rich that mentioned it but like I say, may have dreamt it!

Something a bit different is needed. It's been the same every year since I first went. Don't get me wrong - it is a cool event - but starting to need a change round.

Know what you mean, that's why a separate vintage section would probably work.

It was really busy last year,my as got busier every year, bit of a trade off really, it is a Family Fun Day so it's always going to be set up for the kids as well ( like us  ).

Superb line up- with still more guests to be announced :)
