Just some interesting info I found out.
When I first played 'The Empire Strikes Back' I noticed some missing dialog when Han & Leia were arguing in the tunnel on Hoth. In the original Leia says 'I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie' Han says 'I can arrange that' and as he walks off he says 'He could use a good kiss'! That last line was missing when I first played the film. My first thoughts were oh no not another bit of ****ing around with this classic! Then I had a look online and found out the dialog was not removed but this is actually a software issue! If you can't hear the last line of dialog I mentioned then your Blu-ray player need a software update. This should correct things. There is actually a message at the start of the disk saying this Blu-ray is to date the most advanced etc so you will need the latest software etc.
As I say a bit of interesting info there folks!!

Maybe if you have a really old blu ray player it will play the proper versions of the films!

what happens when you play it backwards - are there subliminal messages from JAr Jar Binks

If only

I have got the Original Theatrical releases on DVD, I do like the ESB and ROTJ Blu-rays though, even the NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Yep the original theatricals on DvD is as good as it gets for me too!! Playing them on a Blu-ray player brings out the best in them also! 8)

Looks good Grant, been meaning to check out fan edits for a long time now.

I take it you recommend this one.

I wanna see the prequel ones too...

Star wars revisited is the best thing that happened to star wars since jedi. Go to the official website and copy the list of changes and then watch it.

The Phantom Edit is also really good.

I was just reading some of the changes.

They all sound good but one... Giving Chewie a medal is a bit of a 'school boy error'.

I remember looking into the Phantom Edit too, didn't think they could have made much difference. There are a few of them about to for the prequels. Is there a Maulster guide for which FanEdits are worth watching?

(Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread here :?

Just Star Wars Revisited.

You wont notice 90% of the changes- but when you check them out- it will blow your mind.

Sorry palitoyjunky

Cheers Grant. looks good. I will have a bit of spare time after Christmas, I have got to get round to downloading these and burning some DVD's :D

A little while until ESB is ready, he mentions in his blog the looming power of Disney... Hope he keeps going.

No need to apologise!

I hate many of the changes made to the classic trilogy in particular dialogue and sound changes. I must admit some of the extra scenes I like ie Falcon taking off from Mos, end dog fight extended Wampa scene, Falcon and Slave 1 screaming across the screen, Falcon entering Cloud City.
