Squid Head cape variations

Hey,

I know that this topic is kinda controverse, some believe that some Squid Head cape variations are caused by discolouration as these have never been found carded/bagged, others believe they are 'real'. I don't know for certain, all I know is that I think they look cool, especially the red and orange ones and I'd be looking to buy some..

These are all auctions that ended today, I also bid on some, but didn't win as I think they went too high for my taste (because of uncertainty)

Wow those are some good prices he got there - I need to dust down my box of Squid Heads !

In all honesty, I am in the camp that thinks this is just discolouration but hey, looks like enough people are happy to bid good money for them

Iain, if you have anything like this, just let me know please.
The only proof there is that these are discolourations is that there is no proof for carded/bagged samples of these, so personally I am quite certain they are not real. But like I said, I still think they look cool.

Yes, that is a known legit variant. Let me know in your next PM how much the bagged ones go for mate, but I am only looking for loose ones.

Rob (phase3) a Squid head focus collector considers them degredation so I tend to agree.
They do look neat as an oddity but not worth a massive premium in my mind.
Bear in mind the seller has sold other degraded figures like gold tint IG88 & FX7 as 'variants' so ......

Lol, You beat me to it - I was looking for the same picture.

Orange cape = discolouration.

And judging by the source of those Squid Heads I would avoid at all costs - Sergio is dodgy!

I have also bought from him some months ago. The mail was extremly slow and I received a wrong weapon for the figure. I think I then waited 45 days before I received the correct weapon

Is it just me or is the mail from him always very slow ?

And this is one of the reasons why no negative or neutral feedback is seen. I did recieve some items quickly & others arrived just before the 45 day cut off for leaving feedback. I had a negative removed ( the issue was resolved ) but it's a catch22, leave negative feedback on the last day before an issue is resolved ( & chances are the problem will not be fixed ) or leave no feedback & hope any problems are fixed. If the problem doesn't get sorted you have no way of warning other buyers. I watched all of his auctions closely (200+) I think maybe only 20% of buyers left feedback.

I think you are right james about this. I would say I waited more than 45 days for the correct weapon. Because I waited 45 days after I received the wrong weapon. I also waited nearly 25 days before I received the wrong weapon with the figure. So totally I waited nearly 70 days before everything was fine, that is a very long time :evil:

Does any of you know why he changes his name all the time on ebay ?

3 days after I have paid he changed the status to "sent" (only fair to say that I paid on Saturday evening, post offices were probably closed then and Sunday).
Only 6 days later I have received the figure and I'm happy with it.

To be honest I have not followed his posts on TIG and as far as I can say everything was OK.
