Since I have joined the forum I have read some threads where some folk have been doing this trick to flatten there boxes. i've tried this myself recently on a battered at-st box with good results but the box now smells rather unpleasant I think, and also was wondering about the long term effects such as mold ect.
Which brings me on to an idea ive had. Does anybody use, or has tried a spray bottle of water? as I would have thought it would have similar results.
Just wondering what your views on this would be before I try it on my new esb x wing box.
Thanks

I am the culprit behind using spray starch and as far as I can see it dries fine with no lasting effects (other than stiffening the cardboard  ) . The smell is from saturating the cardboard and will go away after it fully dries. Water is way different and will destroy your boxes!!!

Oh well it was just an idea. Glad I asked here first before giving it a go. Glad to hear the smell will go. to be honest it doesnt seem as bad now already and the box looks loads better so just for that fact I think i can put up with it :D
