Maybe im either alone, or in a small minority here but who else has zero interest in the sequels? Just saw the photo of the cast sitting around tables together, and it didnt interest me at all. I will not watch them because i feel it will diminish the impact the OT had on me back in the day, and now. ROTJ ended perfectly and gave us that great climax so i dont want to ruin that by watching those new films.

If anyone thinks they will be impressed with the new films, i just cant see how. Unless they do it without CGI etc, and film as per the OT (on a shoestring and real actors on screen) i would hazard a guess its doomed to failure, but thats just me.

So no,i wont be seeing them. They ended this saga 30 years ago....

I am going to watch them for sure. Lucas cheated me with Episodes 1. 2 &3. :D

THE RETURN OF KENNY BAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Defo going.sons really excited so maybe reliving my youth through him. Was thinking today what story would be as only read first few books .shadows of empire , would make a awsome film .courtsjip of princess leai bit this is 35 years on so thats ruled out

In the books generally speaking the Empire was ****ed. Lots of minor battles until they joined the Republic and then gained control again. Not as bad as when Palpatine was there though.

So I'm thinking that the Empire may not be ****ed after Jedi. I'm thinking the Rebellion didn't get it right after Jedi and that others, not force able, took control of the Empire.

I'm looking forward to it, it will be immense 8)

Will def going with my lad to watch the film...just a very long wait :!:

I will be there 100%

So is Kenny Baker deffo in the new line up? He told the Lancashire Evening Post he wasn't interested in Star Wars anymore. Cheeky little bugger :)

I am frenzied. I shall likely book up at Star City in Brum for the 12.01am showing as I did with AOTC and ROTS. Loads of fellow star wars nuts there and one of my cinema highlights was when Yoda pulled back the cloak for the lightsaber (in AOTC) the place genuinely erupted like a football crowd. Immense. The buzz on the way out was excellent.

Saw TPM on opening night in Feltham when I lived down there. Saw SW, ESB and ROTJ at the Regal Leamington Spa, SW not on opening night but queued for hours around the block for ESB and ROTJ on opening night.

That happened when I went to see AOTC as well, massive cheers when yoda pulled out his LS and kicked ass!

Frenzied is a good way of putting it...I understand those detractors that say leave it alone, it's just personal choice, but come on...this is new SW....how cool is that...bring it on :D :D

I think this probably speaks for most of us

Why?

Near me I have the Vue in Leam - too many small screens, **** seating (I'm tall..).
Odeon Cov - too many twats, seating is **** and there's premier seats which are pointless.
Showcase cov - not too bad, seating is okay, usually quiet so can spread (well its quiet when I go alone for my 1130pm showings).
Star City Vue - stadium style seating so nobody can annoy you in front, leg room galore, if theres no one next to you, you can lift up the arm rests and spread, if you feel fancy you can go for the screens with the posh leather armchairs. I can't think of a better cinema near me.. and theres a shed load of screens (i do multi movies regularly, with the right planning)

[although star city is fab, my fave cinema is actually the electric behind New street in Brum..]

I'd comment on the food stuffs, but seeing as I no longer consume sweets and fizzy drinks...

i personally can't wait for new movies, i watched jedi today and at the end i found myself excited wondering what will happen next, definately stoked to see them, and as for kenny being in this new movie, well he wasn't in sith but got a credit, they just don't need him in these new films the tech is so much better.
Question, ford wanted to kill of han in jedi, do you think he'll finally get his wish to go out in a blaze of glory
