So i have incurable cancer

Cheers guys, you've all been great, wish i had better news but chemo is no go for now,i 'm just to weak, got a wheelchair today, went out to the beach which was nice, weird to be pushed around, i feel for my wife Karen my heavy ass is no good, but the weight loss will help
Thinking of you mate, can't beat a trip to the beach

A trip to the beach is always a good thing, keep positive Ian, our thoughts are with you and yours mate ❤️

Oh my goodness Ian, I am truly devastated reading your post, sorry I am a tittle late with well wishes as I've not been on a lot for some time, but I have greatly enjoyed reading a great many of your posts over the years.

Make the most of every second you have & try & tick some things off the bucket list, life is for living so get as much in as you are able, it must feel very strange being pushed around in a wheelchair, I'm still uncomfortable using a walking stick & that's been years now, just seems so alien, one moment we are 15 fit & healthy, you blink & your knocking on old ages door.

I know I am not close, but as others have said - if I can be of any help or assistance please do not hesitate in dropping me a message.

Have you considered CBD to help with the pain & movement? I have heard a lot of others saying that it really can help quite significantly.

Sending you the very best as I am otherwise rather lost for the right words.

Sorry to hear you can't get treatment at the moment. Hopefully your medical team have been able to give you some good advice on things you could perhaps try like diet changes to build your strength up, hormones, mindfulness, meditatation etc?
You have got the support of your family, so lean on them when you have to and don't feel embarrassed or guilty about it - they will WANT to help you.

Glad you got a trip to the beach - sounds like you've still got a sense of humour too, which is good.

Take care

cheers mate im slowly feeling it day by day, going to have a hospial bed downstars ,painwise im not to bad, have a tablet of morpine twice a dat plus more if needed, thanks

I have no illusions that it can be anything other than difficult & painful for you, but you seem to have the right attitude to tackle this, do have a think about the CBD route as morphine can be a real evil.

My thoughts are with you, stay strong for those around you.

Rest in Peace my friend.
For those that haven't heard. Ian's wife just posted that he passed away this morning.
We will miss you.

That is such sad news and a sad loss to our SW community, my thoughts are with the family at this sad time.....RIP Ian 😔

Ian was absolutely one of the nicest people in the SW community. Just such a lovely caring bloke, can't imagine how painful it is for his family to lose such a loving husband and Dad.
He's at peace now and he'll always be remembered, such sad news.

When I saw there was an update on this thread and it wasn't Grinchy, I was hoping it wasn't what it turned out to be. You never want anyone to suffer, but it's always so sad to see someone pass away. Especially when it's still relatively young.

So sad. **** like this shouldn't happen. Thoughts are with his family.
RIP my friend

It's with a very heavy heart I read this. Ian was a very talented guy, made a latex Yoda head mask for me for my son, I went to pick it up from Ian in person, what a lovely guy. Great posts on here and such a very sad loss to the community and my heart goes out to Ian's family at this very sad time.
Rest in peace Grinchy

Rest in peace Ian, always fantastic to see the creative work you did over the years, always a pleasure to chat to you. Love to your family.
