Just found out that even though I was registered as the highest bidder for the 12 back Palitoy Sand Person I didn't win it, go figure!! Not a happy bunny. Useless!

Someone maybe set a reserve !! Unlucky Andy , something similar happened to me about a year ago , I was the highest bidder but didn't win !!!

No it definitely sold and for less than my bid. I've complained but they liken it to putting a paddle up late, which I think is wrong as the system shouldn't accept a bid if it's late. Basically they've missed my bid and won't admit to it.

That's exactly what happened to me ! I was the highest bidder and for some reason it didn't accept , but on my iPad , I won . They apologised and sent the rest of my stuff within 48 hours , definitely something wrong with their system .

I won the Vader and 3PO as well. Took the gloss off a good day. I've asked Kathy to ring me back maybe they have a spare they could sell to keep a good customer happy. :?

Hopefully get something sorted !!!

I thought the INT 4 and Laser Canon cromalins and preprod went relatively cheaply, compared to Facebook prices, but then its generally been Mark who's been selling on Facebook so not a lot of other sales to compare.

I tend to agree with that, although preproduction for mini-rigs is in my opinion (and just my opinion) about as exciting as the mini-rigs themselves, or just slightly more so. Although I am sure there are several collectors that like them that would think differently.

I was surprised at the price of some of the photo-used mini rigs. They were used for photographs of boxes which didnt make production, so I dont really get the value - its not like they were on the boxes which were on every shelf in America.

Sacrilege!

I love my INT-4 ! Wish I had an MTV focus as that would sound better

Genuinely shocked at the price of the Meccano Han Hoth - £2.5k with fees for essentially a £5 figure, a cardback and bubble. Surely thats madness - thats two and half INT 4 cromalins

Crazy isn't it?! I expected maybe £1k all in. Some of the Jedi cards werent too bad, but none of the ones I wanted stayed this side of sensible unfortunately.

I didn't really get the chance to see what things went for, but it sounds like the standard mixed bag to me: a few 'bargains', a few surprise prices realised, a few complaints about the operating system and plenty of happy people. I had a punt on the Luke X Wing Palitoy MOC but alas, no joy.
Very odd to read about the phantom bids though :?

Dont know if anyone saw todays auction? I won a set of four Action Man factory photos today for £30. Imagine if they were pictures of SW figures, how many noughts would I need to add?

A resin protoype Action Man went for just £150 - annoying as I forgot to up my first bid. it really is amazing what the difference in value is for non-SW toy lines. I might do what Joe has done and concentrate on something more affordable for a bit.

Yep, hoover up some prototypes from other lines, create a few Facebook groups to build some artificial hype and you'll be quids in!

I know you didn't mean it to read it that way but the above almost sounds like I'm trying to cash in on my new collecting venture

For the record, I have no affiliation with any non SW FB Groups :D
