Do you reckon there are still shops out there somewhere with old Vintage stock hidden away?
I remember back in 1989 there was an old model shop that still had stuff. He was still asking the full price for them.

Anyone have any success on this front? :)

I know of a bloke who still has stock after his shop closed, all stored in his attic, for his retirement....
mostly transformers and action force, but still.....wouldn't mind getting my hands on that haul....

There will always be hoards of stuff found a few years ago a huge haul of WW2 German medals was discovered when someone took down a wall in the old Deschler factory in i believe Munich (Google image deschler hoard) there were literally thousands of the things all crated up in exactly the same condition as when they were abandoned in April 1945. I am sure there are some amazing hauls of forgotten vintage booty from the SW universe out there, but be carfull what you wish for a Deschler Iron Cross used to be worth a hell of lot more than it is now due to there being literally 100s of mint examples to buy! imagine if the next haul of SW stuff is a couple of 100 mocs of the same figure!

I'd trickle them into the market over a number of years so the market didn't collapse...

I still have them 8) Unfortunately, the tape has dried and parted on the SS box. Gave me a good opportunity to have a peep inside though, which, if I'm truthful I'd been itching to do!

The shop is still there, and hardly ever open these days, as I said, the owner is getting on. I can't see it being there much longer
I know she has more stashed away, however the last few visits have only seen me pick up a Jedi Logray :D

I'm considering selling some of my collection, as it doesn't really have a direction, and we all know that can lead to losing the bug...
I'd like to semi focus on Starwars cards, as for me, the artwork on them IS the nostalgia!

If I choose to sell, they'll be on here first. I visit the forum a few times a week to drool over latest acquisitions etc. I don't have the time to contribute as much as I'd like to due to having a 9month old boy, and being a self-employed Illustrator.

The price of anything thats found in massive quantities always falls its no bad thing for colectors, Look at the Luke Jedi baggie find and i guess a large quantity of Mecano Jawas were discovered at some time as they seem to be readily available in mint condition its only bad if its something insanely rare and you happen to already own one of these things.

I have a maccano Jawa, it's mad how many are out there. Maccano cards are ace though, so nice to own one. It always fascinates me to see the blue snag on the back, I know it'll prob never happen, but just imagine that showing up!!

I actually want a Meccano Jawa just havent got round to buying one yet there a bad ass card back i agree completely, Worth the asking price for the piccy of Blue Snaggly alone!

Agree!
I'm a big fan of the Power Droid, both figure and card art. The Maccano variant kicks ass big time in my opinion.

WOW never seen one of those meccano PD's but the square fig on the square card in those colours looks bloody brilliant!

I've seen them posted on here before now, a guy posted up a fantastic run of French cards a while back.

I would guess that there is sizable amount of ex shop stock sat around in storage lockers, garages in the back of shops and attics around the country (and world) the big problem....fnding it!
