There certain people on RS who just prowl the 'watch out' section causing trouble. KJ81 being one of them. They never post anything positive anywhere else

I think with listings like Han's you have to just do enough so you can't be accused of being shady. Its a fine line to walk and some of Han's listings are on the right side and some are a bit too vague. As long as people know the basics i.e. reseal or not then theres nothing wrong with letting them ask the questions and view the photos.

i agree with you to a certain extent....however.....let me ask you this ...

in my droid collection auction it clearly states that the cardbacks have been repaired and that they are reseals....ive just had someone offer me to end the auction and they would pay me £100 for each figure.......what would you do ???

ive not answered there email yet.......

i would just consolidate the reseal facts with them before you continue, if they are happy with that why not sell it!

if all the facts are presented then all good

:?
I agree that the listings state reseals, but why not just list them in the resealed section ( ) and have the description simply " item as pictured "

completely removes any ambiguity :?:

918 rating on ebay and you've never noticed these under vintage :!:

Sorry, but that is hard to believe

Vintage (1977-89) :
Collections/ Bulk Lots
Figures (Loose)
Figures (Original Carded)
Figures (Resealed Carded)
Vehicles/ Playsets
Weapons & Spare Parts
Other Vintage Star Wars

I think it would be easy enough to miss if Han was using a template he's used for MOC figs for speed. I only noticed it relatively recently and I've been selling for years

honest truth.....i only found that out today.....ive got the same template ive been using for the past two years.....

Good to see you are making good on these listings.

The one I pointed out to you is still in the wrong section, and makes no mention of it being a reseal anywhere in the listing, small print or otherwise:-

that is a weak arguement and any new collector could easily be caught out

these are breaking ebay rules as miscategorised listings

I am not bothered as I can spot them, but a disgruntled newbie collector could report each and every listing to ebay for breach of rules - ebay can end all listings and you lose any fees paid

its a risky way to operate.........

The comment you added at the bottom should clarify for buyers.

Saying opened packaging isnt quite the same as saying reseal though. And saying MOC is definately misleading in my opinion.

Good luck with the auctions!

look iam telling you straight....i had no idea that the resealed section exsited.............and thats the truth

You really dont have to explain yourself. You are correcting things, Some people just want to argue....I suggest they go back to RS were that is welcomed and embraced.

i listed a reseal in vintage clearly as a reseal before,( you start crying ).because i listed it in reseal section and no one bothered ,ended up with 5 watching in vintage and winning bidder was a newbie but i exchanged about 5 emails telling him what it was and even told him to join this site.
if you think i,m a wrong for this ,TOUGH .there is far worst **** happening in world so why dont you get from behind you ****ing little monitors and do something about them.........because you are to scared .
about time we left this crying to rs as its gettig ****ing boring

i agree with jabba, stop worrying about it Han , it hasn't put me off wanting to buy some of your auctions ( you dodgy bastard ) because now i should get them cheaper

just be warned though han, from now on you may get some stick off the rest of us .... similar to weasel and his young girlfriends, craig and his kelly obsession and jabba and all his gay porn on his pc

so why don't you set up your own forum where you can bully and swear at people :?:

I think I might list everything I have the the vintage original carded section because it is one of the most popular categories on the whole of ebay

a reseal should go in the resealed section, period. What is so diffilcult about that ? It attracts less attention ? Oh, what a shame, lets put it in a popular section and try and mislead people with a bit of vagueness

Morning chaps, just got back from holiday to find this all kicking off!! Bloody hell!!!

I was on ebay last night, saw most of your listings Han and realised straight away from the descriptions that most were re-seals and opened so didn't look any further as they don't interest me. These sort of listings happen all the time and a lot of reseals are not listed under re-seal section. With ebay its how you market your product, you provide descriptions that are accurate and in my opinion you've done this. If a buyer is going to be stupid and not read the full description and not notice a line saying they are re-sealed or open, then that is there fault. True, you could have been more clear but the way you have done it will attract more interest and potentially more buyers and people who can read will stay away if they don't want re-cards.

Don't worry about it Han, storm in a tea cup mate.

fair enough dell but are you saying you have never tried to vamp up one of your listings? if so then give us your ebay name and we can scrutanise your items. i will be honest, i always try and make the most money when selling on ebay, because that is what its for, i put the best points of an item first and then the bad points last. i have 100% and over 1000 rating.
Han has 914 rating and 100% , he didn't get that for being a dodgy bastard , so i think the term "benefit of the doubt" comes to mind.

there are allsorts of items in vintage original carded. gentle giant busts , modern figures, reseals, belgium adverts. alright they are not in the right catorgories but they are in a catorgory that they might appeal to someone. no idiot would buy a modern figure and go nuts when they got it because it was in the vintage section.

Ebay is not some shop on the high street, its one step up from a car boot sale, and you wouldn't just buy something from those without looking at the item carefully first would you?
even in the shops( mobile phone are the worst for it) small print is rife. do you read every little word on every document you sign?????? well you should because you could get stuck with something you didn't want.........
