so ive won on ebay a collection lot which i thought contained a vc jawa! i didnt look at the picture properly or research a vc jawa before getting trigger happy on bidding! the cape is a reddish colour, which means its a kenobi cut cape  ....grrrrr....i havnt recieved it yet mind. theres always a very slim chance it being a toltoys. but i very much doubt a loose example would be in a loft collection of vintage figures in the uk? as toltoy jawa is a australian fig

To be fair - normally on Ebay, if it looks to good to be true - it probably is

Was it advertised as a VC Jawa ?

There are plenty of scammers out there who will 'hide' a rare looking figure in their lot hoping they will catch someone. Years ago I thought I spotted a EV 9D9 in a lot - I did, trouble was that it was the modern version !

aite iain im ****ing well pissed off with my self! if i had researched vc jawa before hand and realised the colors of the cape i wouldnt of bidded! your probably right though the seller may have put the figure in alot to catch someone out. although maybe they are none awares of the figure being fake as he replied after i won the auction ''im very suprised at the sale price, there must be something in there you really wanted, i though they would be worth £10 at the most, i'll definitely go up the loft and see if there are any more up there!''

That's an old trick slipping a fake VC jawa in a lot and acting stupid. I see that scam all the time. Sorry you got ****ed on that one.

Hopefully it wasn't pushed up price wise because of the bogus VCJ but as Delboy says - he who dares wins Rodney! (One day it might well be a real VCJ)

Then again, Delboy usually ended up with egg on his face :D

the seller has 100% scammed me i reckon as all his feedback is private so you cant see what he has bought or sold! sneaky hey! but if you look at say other feedback from other members for people he has bought or to they both contain vintage starwars elements.

Did you already pay him? If not....I would not and take the hit....or If you did pay and it comes to you without tracking....it got lost in the mail....Item not received :D ...........**** him.

I thought we weren't allowed to say that on here

I would open a Paypal dispute. If the listing didnt mention it was a custom you have grounds to return for a full refund. Do you have a link to the original listing mate?

Personally I wouldnt go down the "it didnt arrive" route- stay above board and just ask for a refund. Paypal side with buyers 99% of the time. Just ask for a refund, if he refuses open the case. Stay calm and composed in the messages and your home and dry. Then send him some dog turd in a jiffy bag and order the chap a couple of skips

Just to add to this, ebays policy now covers distance selling so even if he puts no refunds you can still return the item within 7days regardless of anything!

:D
