Heads up on this guys, a little while ago there was a huge collection offered for sale on ebay.co.uk of some amazing MOC figures (theres a thread in Vintage chat about it). The auction ended early but the seller put up a facebook link to the items.

Well..the pictures from her facebook album have been stolen and are now being used by a scammer.

Original listing - Kaye's listing

I have messaged Kaye teller her what's going on and that if these are NOT her sales then she needs to get in contact with ebay asap.
Hopefully she will and the auctions will be stopped.

Nice one Pete- I think its likely they will get shut down before its too late but there are already bids

Hi Joe

Are you sure that this is not just the boyfriend. If you look at the addresses, she was in Leicester and he is in Derby so they are close enough to be Ex's.

Maybe he has just done some research as the individual prices seem a lot closer to the right ball park.

Definately worth keeping and eye on tho.

Cheers
Iain

Many of them are WAY off. 350 for the Yak is way over and the ReeYees for 50 is hilarious. I think whoever this is they have no idea what they're doing which always makes things harder and take a lot longer to shift. Makes me laugh when someone who has no idea what these things are worth goes with the highest possible amount they can think of a a starting price. lol. That Yak WILL NOT SELL. FACT.
I know for a fact that they were offered a couple of decent prices for the lot as one and turned them down. I think they may regret that. If this is them, they've opened an account with no feedback as opposed to using their existing one with positive feedback. Madness. Also going to make sales very difficult.

Did she ever get back to you Pete? She has pulled the facebook page..makes me think perhaps she read your message and didn't want anyone else stealing her photos?

Yes, I did see the Yak price - if it does sell for that price then I am getting mine listed !!

It seems as though they have split up (cant remember whose father had these in a chest!) There is definately something that feels a bit dodgy with all these goings on but maybe its just a case of people actually finding some genuine collectable items.

I think the saga will continue for a while

If this is the ex/ or current boyfriend and Kaye can confirm that I will remove all the links and good luck to the guy but it just seems WELL dodgy to me.

Reeks of a scam, same pictures used from a high brow auction that just ended, hastily listed enough to list one item twice and no mention of being the original seller just conveniently using the same story!

I think the same as Pete- if this IS legit then they have done themselves no favours by trying to get maximum returns on these with a zero feedback account..

Doesn't stop people bidding though.. I guess we could bombard the seller with requests for more pictures that Kaye didn't take lol - different angles etc ?

I've always said this is the trouble with listing things so high. People just wont pay it. If you just set them as auctions with a low starter they will all fly and they will sell for what people are willing to pay and there's no other way of getting more out of them without waiting around for months for a moron with money.
I KNOW they will be listing many of these over and over again without selling and it's gonna take months for them to see a decent return. Also sellers like this (amazed how much i see it) are the kind of ones that keep relising at the same price despite no one wanting it. If they're that kind of seller it could take over a year to see profit.
Just my 2 cents. (i'm f***ing right tho)

New bit of text in the auction:

PLease note the payapl address on here is wrong and I cant change it?? The correct one is [email protected]

So..not only will you need to bid on an item from a seller with zero feedback you also have to send your money to a paypal account not registered with the ebay account

It smells funny......don't touch it for ****s sake
Seriously though I have watched this all the way through, both on here and SWCC and it has always looked fishy to me, i wouldn't touch it with a manky cattle prod now.

Haha oooooooo so tempting

jeez, whoever falls for that deserves to be scammed...well maybe not

She got back saying this is her boyfriend's account. Still don't understand the logic but there you go. The Yak is no longer up for sale. Must have accepted an offer. The tri logo hammerhead is over £300 already!! Ugly ass thing too.
