Hey fella's I'm sure most of you are watching the situation on Rs with the repro carded Yak.

What everyone's thoughts on this in regards to the law on this one? I know it's a fake and this is being done to try and have it removed ( which I support ) but is there anyway this could back fire on those involved in the bidding?

"is there anyway this could back fire on those involved in the bidding?"
no it's just like any other non paying bidder/winner. And those bidding are using their back up/dummy accounts. The seller has a link to the RS thread so why he hasn't cancelled bids from 0 & 1 star bidders is beyond me. But we do know the seller is scrotum juice.

Yeah, i really don't think there's anything ebay can do. They are the victim of their own "buyer protection" in this case. Buyers can basically do what they want on ebay. If you bid on something and win it and decide not to pay... nothing happens! You will hear it said "you are entering into a legal agreement!..." but that's utter bullshit.
I should think if you did it over and over and over again ebay would eventually close your account but it would have to get pretty bad. They like to keep as many bidders on there as they can.
Good luck to em i say. I hope this ©µΩ† thinks he's about to scam someone out of 75,000. If he puts it back up people should do it again. And agin.

Yeah cool, just thought Ebay might be pissed at losing a potential %10 of the winning price and decide to go them for it. As you say though the item is fake so they'll be right. More power to em, bid the bastard sky high. Should take a sweepstakes on how high they'll get it.

What would happen if you told eBay you had collected in person and paid cash? Then left positive feedback for the seller.... I'm fairly sure he would end up paying the conmision!!

I am all for this.

As they have said on RS I can imagine all over the news - "The star wars toy that sold for $77000 star wars toy ThAT IS FAKE

Thats very entertaining reading.

I guess you could always claim that you were willing to bid $77,000 until you found out it was a fake. I think that would be a very legitimate excuse :)
