Well for the first time ever i have had 3 seperate RECORDED parcels go missing with Royal Mail.

I was gutted and didnt think too much of it until i got two messages, one from a friend who had posted me a parcel...that has gone missing and another from Weasel on SWF asking me if i have ever had a recorded parcel go missing....because one of his is now missing.

Something is quite seriously wrong, has anyone else had one go missing recently, or is the tracking stuck on "being processed for delivery" because i think temp employees are doing a massive theft session on them

Im going to contact Royal Mail with my concers as this is no coincidence.

Ill post this on all the forums just to see whats going on.

Andy

****, at least you get "processed for delivery" all I get is "progressed through our network for delivery."
I would have thought after 11 days it might have progressed far enough to warrant an update at least, or hell, maybe even being ****ing delivered!

Jokers!

It's only November as well WTF are they gonna be like next month!?
I might have to hand deliver my SS turd in a box!

They're just thieving cunts anyway.
Fooking rip off to send to the UK. Tracking is worse than here, if that is possible. And your ****ing postal addy's are so fooken strange it aint funny. I am sure the Irish actually run the joint.

When I sent that chewy back recorded delivery after the dodgy eBay seller ****ed me over the package is still in limbo, it's being processed. In other words they have lost it. I though be sent recorded with tracking was safe but it ain't :( I have always wondered how many parcels get nicked, especially if they see high postage costs for a small item...
There are three leeches in our hobby
Royal Mail
eBay
Paypal
Each is as bad as the other.

I'm missing a parcel as well lads! :(

I posted it first class recorded last thursday & all i get when i enter the tracking number is "being progressed through our network for delivery".

I'm beginning to think its been nicked by some thieving shitbag!

Been a Postie myself, I find it difficult to read stuff like this. We're not all thieving bastards you know!

I will add, that Christmas used to start about the 2nd week into December, when we were inundated with cards. Now Christmas is starting mid November with people starting their internet shopping. The mail centres are already buckling under the pressure of packets and parcels. Give it time.

Well, I just got an email from my buyer to say his parcel was sitting down at his local sorting office. The fact it had his name and address on it, clearly didn't give away where it was meant for.

Anyways, he has it now and all's good!

PS, I'm sure the PO is like all large, in fact probably ALL, organisations. Some very good staff who genuinely care and will go the extra mile if they can, and some scum bags only there to look out for number one and make a quick buck off someone elses back if the opportunity arises.

Tell you what lads I think the sorting office is to blame on a lot of occaisions.

I had a recorded item the other week take 8 days until I got a red slip through the door. The guys up there know I'm often out at work and don't bother to drop a slip through my doot I think they almost expect me to go up and collect it.

I'd rather pay an extra few £ and pay for special then make them come to my door
with the parcel.

I hope everyone's items arrive safe and sound.

Ive had a lifesize Darth Maul bust go missing in recorded delivery-am still waiting on the outcome-CUNTS.Also,the customs ****ers got me for £70 on a signed poster-EVEN BIGGER CUNTS.****ing monarchy-should be away with paying them all our our money.

HM Customs and Excise-royalty
ROYAL mail-royalty

Both together they equal robbing cunts.

On and Josh,i think if the Irish did run the UK they would do a better job than those cunts you have/have had in office over there-past and present. :D

(yeah,my fathers Irish so i had to throw that in there)

Yep greedy bastard banks,,corrupt politicians and arsehole developers but hey, but we got a good postal system and we dont even have postcodes,, the postman just knows everyone.
I got a big parcel from Ed on here and the postman rang me and said he had dropped in my neighbours porch,, neighbour had no clue it was ever there.
but i am worried bout my stuff from the UK now? :|

I'm sick of royal mail. They don't half **** up everything.

I paid £5 to send something weighing no more than 3Kg to birmingham, UK and when i got to the post office i was told i needed to pay another £20! So i had to go home and call them up and have a couple of words... took them 3 days to refund me and sort me out a new postage label! And i still haven't heard from the buyer if he recieved it yet.

I also bought an Item that came all creased and bent when the mail man couldn't get it through my letter box.

If any of you want to know what the bent item was... it was a Walkers glow in the dark jar jar head with a sticky long tongue  I got it for 99p off ebay mainly for childhood memories!

Unfortunately Paul there are people who work for the Royal Mail that do steal,i personally know 2 people,1 man & 1 woman who got caught stealing peoples mail. They were both sacked & both ended up with write ups in the local paper about it!

I reckon my parcel should've arrived on monday at the latest & there's still no sign of it so its not looking good! :(

Just found out that my mother posted £30 in vouchers first class recorded to my brother & they were just shoved in his mailbox without being signed for!

Edit:I've just found out that my parcel has arrived! :D

It's still saying on the RM website that its still in their system & not been signed for though which is a bit strange! :?

I hope everyone else who are missing parcels receive theirs soon! :)

Thankfully I am all in the clear with packages going to or arriving from the UK this holiday season, I sent out a parcel to Del from here last week and it arrived in about 5 days so stuffs still getting through ok.

I do think the UK postal system gets hammered this year and regardless of all the systems in place (cut off points / past strikes to increase pay + moral for workers + the extra workers that come in for xmas) it still seems like its just one of those things you have to accept with the system- its slow at this time of year.

All the best guys I hope you get your parcels arrive + delivered ok

i lost one, posted 1st november and never showed up, they don,t even offer to check where it is just give you claim form, annoyed but it was first one they,ve lost

Jesus Justin you don't actually expect them to do some work/actually KNOW where you parcel is, do you?

Never as yet had a recorded delivery parcel go missing, i would be as pissed as hell if i did as you dont get much back on recorded, atleast if its special delivery you would be fully covered but again would rather have what i paid for than the money back.
Every time i get something from the states and ask for it to be sent as a 30 dollar gift i **** myself incase it goes missing but custom fees are just ****ing ridiculous.

mines turned up after a month in belfast instead of scotland, trying to get it back is another headache though and see what state it,s in soon
