ROTJ is 30 years old today – I'm at work but my wife has text to say there is a lovely vintage figure waiting for me when I get home.

What was everyone's first ROTJ figure?

Mine was General Madine - I remember seeing the figures in the toy shop and thinking I won't buy a main character for my first figure so I took the old guy with the beard

Where does time go mate?

That's nice of your wife phoning you to let you know aboout the figure

I think it was one of Jabba's Cronies, cant be sure but possibly squid head :? although I remember getting an ERG early on :D

Yep the films were always released on the run up to my birthday which was great

Wow time does indeed fly  It seems like only a short time ago 'A New Hope' was celebrating it's 20th anniversary!!

Can't exactly rem what my v first Jedi Figure was, Luke Jedi, Admiral A, Bib F and G guard come to mind :)

Wow, had no idea. You'd think there'd be a little more 'talk' about it in the media. Not heard a whisper. Wouldn't have noticed had you not said something. :?

Awesome vintage themed pic up on JTA: http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/news/images2013a/ROTJ-Tribute.jpg

I'm really looking forward to the 30 year making of book coming out later this year and my first Jedi figure was Jedi Luke.

Cheers for letting us all know!

First was gam guard

JTA pic is cracker lovin that :D

30 years is scary  and I agree there should have been something in the media

Celebration watch of ROTJ on the cards

Well I've rushed home to put ROTJ on video (not going to watch Blu Ray or even DVD to make sure I get that authentic vintage feel) and get my promised vintage figure from my wife.....

So chuffed as I never had him as a kid so will spend tonight playing with him :D

But look what else I got to celebrate "ROTJ day" my very own Jabba cake. My wife and daughter didn't want me to post it as they think he's so bad but I think he's perfect :D

Daughter even made a wee frozen Han Solo and a couple of R2's to go along with him.

I am one happy SW fan tonight :D

Love the photo!

Easily remember my first ROTJ figure as a kid - Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) and he had the snap cape. The shop had just had their first delivery of the first wave of ROTJ figures, so I had quite a choice, but chose Luke over the ERG, wanted both but my Mum said I was lucky to be having one

Haha that's a fantastic Jabba cake! Looks like a gigantic cookie lol!!

I think stuff like that is priceless, definitely NOT bad - tell your Mrs and your Daughter it was a hit on SWF!

Db94. Lovin the cake

Weird how family  give you that look when you talk about SW...but come birthdays and celebration treats they come up trumps ( I think they are all fans but don't want to admit it  )

Sounds like your family are gems mate....love the cake and r2 s and carbonite

And a minty fig....lucky boy
