Hi All,

I know this is my first post and everything and I have not introduced myself properly but read this yesterday and thought I should post just in case anyone is offered anything on the cheap...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/jul/23/film-memorablia-stolen-hampshire

Obviously mostly DVD's etc but thought it might be of interest due to "The Star Wars figurines are complete with display cases and original cards which adds to their value."

Andy

Does anyone know the guy? We really need him to post a list (with pictures if he has them) of the star wars stuff that went.

Jason

He must be absolutely gutted :(
As Jason says, a list of the SW items would be handy as unfortunately some will probably end up on the bay. If he means AFA cases when they say display cases, at least the numbers are traceable.

OK- I contacted the Hampshire Police and they have updated their information and will pass on this forums address to the victim. He also has my phone number.

Hopefully with the exstensive star wars network- we can find these figures if they appear in the market.

Makes my blood boil.

Grant

Well done Grant. With things like this, I don't think it's your average chavvy thief. Probably somebody who knows him. Tossers.

Ageed.

Hopefully he will join us at the forum with an list of loses. If he sells any- im sure we'll know.

Some people on here are crazy for finding Star Wars collectables.

Hi Fellas,
A friend of mine told me he read in todays sun newspaper ( I never read that crap :) ) that a guy had his starwars collection worth £20,000 stolen in Fareham. It doesnt state weather the collection was vintage or what it consists of, but apparently the theives took out one of his windows while he was away on holiday and took the lot.
Someone must know more and maybe the guy is a member on here.
Cant see why a starwars collection would attract theives as it cant be the easiest thing to steal and sell on, but who knows. Any info would be good and to know what he had would be nice too.

This s devasting news! The guy must be gutted!

It looks like he isnt the only one - something similar happened across the Pond - http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Star_Wars_Collectibles_Stolen_In_Milan_Tennessee_147115.asp

i wish you had been so caring when it came to business!!!!!!!

Hi to all,

My friend recently spotted an article in a freebie newspaper called the Metro, ive attached a picture but just in case it doesnt show it is regarding the theft of £20,000 worth of collectibles including a large number of star wars figures from a property in Knowle Village in Hampshire. Firstly, a collector like that must be known to someone. Does anyone here know who this is? Can we get a list of what has been stolen. Im on ebay everyday looking to add to my collection and certainly don't want to purchase stolen goods. Secondly, as silly as this sounds, check your windows and doors, let's make it as difficult as we can for these guys.

Although it is no doubt a very grave situation, I think 3 threads about the same topic is a bit much. :)

So I'm going to merge them for a bit.

Didnt Jim Stevenson get a load of stuff nicked in the early nineties? - seem to remember an advert in the model mart listing what was stolen - anyone know if he ever got them back? - some interesting stuff stolen if I remember rightly (sets of carded figs etc)

i can't stand theives!!!!! they are they lowest of the low!!! must have taken that poor guy years to get that collection together!
SCUMBAGS!!!!!!

Jim was burgled at home quite a few years back and has also had items stolen from his stall before. Its pretty dam tragic to think that there are people out there specifically on the rob at events.

I hope this guy gets his stuff back. Like Grant says, there are some very dedicated folk on here so with any luck something might turn up.

Same here - hope he gets his stuff back - going back to JS - I remember what had been stolen and thinking they must have stolen to order, even back then complete sets of different country issue 12 and 21 backs would have stuck out if coming up for sale (cant remember the exact items pinched though)
