RIP - Sir Roger Moore.

A sad loss.
I was blessed to have sat with him for dinner back in my publishing/bookseller days; an experience to never be forgotten.
A true legend and the best Bond by a mile in my book
RIP Mr Bond

Sad news, not my favourite Bond but his films had a special feel about them.

He had a good life but will be missed, R.I.P.

He was the Bond of our childhood era. For humour you won't top Sir Roger Moore. Some of those lines make me laugh out loud - Bond. "don't worry darling. It's just a small hat belonging to a man of limited means, who lost a fight with a chicken"

When I worked in the police myself and a colleague had a running joke about the film North Sea Hijack, starring Moore. It's all very tongue in cheek. Not his finest performance, but so bad it's good.

There's more to Moore than just Bond. Don' t forget he was in Cannonball Run, too ...as Bond. Lol!

We love him

What a guy!

I agree. Another childhood hero gone. One of his funniest roles was in Bullseye where he portrays an old Cockney conman who goes in disguise as a blind Austrian piano tuner!

It's quite apt that I watched For Your Eyes Only the other night. On a side note that comic strip of the movie was serialised in the ROTJ weekly.

RIP Roger Moore, you were fantastic and I have never seen a bad movie with you. You always only did great movies.

I remember you as James Bond

Quite a coincidence, I was only watching The Man With The Golden Gun the day before he died. Such a great film and makes the 'serious' Bond films you get these days seem rather dull.

He was my Bond and always makes me laugh in Man with the Golden Gun, easily my favourite bond film, Belly Dancer "I've lost my charm", Bond "not from where I'm standing" :D If you read his autobiography he had a really interesting life. Always loved the safari suits and knitted jumpers, :(
