really sad news, RIP Kenny 
We were driving past his road today where, ironically, I've never known which was Kenny's actual house. Well today that was easy as flowers have begun to be placed outside the front gate. Quite poignantly someone had placed an R2 figure which was quite moving really.
I left some flowers and took the liberty of writing a card saying 'To Kenny. May you rest in peace. From all at starwarsforum.co.uk. And from fans everywhere'.

Absolutely gutted to hear the news yesterday. R2 has always been my favourite character and my favourite figure. That's probably down to the way Kenny injected life and a personality into that little droid. The interaction between R2 & 3PO makes Star Wars so great for me.

This was just the right time to finally watch Time Bandits on Bluray. I've read Kenny Baker say it was his favourite performance. Great performances all round including 'our' Jack Purvis and Mike Edmunds.
I've thought it poignant ( and possibly intentional ) that when Baker's character gets flattened by a pillar, it's his long term friend and collaborator Purvis who leads the anger.
A great film, made greater but the inclusion of Kenny Baker.
