Repro carded figure with repro AFA sticker - SCARY!!

Ill agree with TFB ob this. Ive also said these can, and would be faked.

Im afraid this will become more common place and such goings on such as tge TT affair will damage carded collecting forever.

I think the seller of this item took my point after a while. We actually had a reasonably civilised back and forth chat. His defense seemed to be that A. he bought this item off Ebay and B. don't we all download dodgy films and TV??? What's the difference?

In all honesty I can say that I don't illegally download films and TV. Can't ever remember doing either. So that's the second point blown out of the water. The Ebay thing - well two wrongs don't make a right. Trademark/copyright/descriptions are all still important when selling on items even if you know them to be fake.

Had to have it really. The Blister Sisters thing was a good point as they are freely trading fakes on Ebay.

This guy is a joke. It's not my place to say but the fact this guy is getting so much attention is wrong. That said he needs exposing :? Makes my blood boil.

I agree with Barry and Tod on this.

As for downloading films and tv stuff never done it.

It all boils down to ethics and people's opinions on whats right and wrong, but copies, fakes, etc which are produced are always going to carry the propensity to appear at a later date on the bay for example, for unscrupulous sellers to pass on to unsuspecting buyers.
There is always the old favourite "caveat emptor" to hide behind, but that's just a defensive excuse IMO. It's about doing the right thing, and unfortunately there will always be people in life that want to make a quick buck without conscience ...not for me I'm afraid!

This is frikkin awful. Next they will be copying actual AFA numbers and trying to pass them off as the real deal.

Can we police for sale threads and ask sellers to blank out actual AFA reference numbers from their for sale pictures just like you would for a car registration plate in a for sale ad.

I guess a real buyer could ask questions directly and then if the seller was happy release the actual afa number.

Cheers

Attention on this is good IMO. No-one who hears about his fake **** is going to buy it :D

At £43 with over 3 days to go  Someone is getting done already what's it going to end up selling for?

This is terrible news, what if the buyer want to cheat the next buyer and sell it as original. I think this is very bad.

 WOW look on the back of the card by the General Mills CPG PRODUCTION CORP, Blue and white circle.... It should say TM on the back of the Fett figure it got an R........ Someone on here must know more about the figure????

   Holy crap now type boba fett recard in ebay and check completed auctions................. crazy they are world wide............

I've emailed AFA to see if they no about this or are bothered. Got an automated reply as there out of office for a while.

It says reproduction, but it's actually counterfeit, which is completely different, I liken this to a counterfeit bank note.

Yeh, and a £77 bank note to boot!

AFA emailed me back saying they have reported the listing to Ebay. But looks like listing is going to be aloud to end. Price it's at now is a farce.

If AFA are just using the "report item" button in the listing then A) that won't do anything and B) they are idiots.
If they contact ebay through the proper channels and threaten legal action ebay will remove this item.
