thought id do a live gig topic, so any music concerts festivals or standup shows tell us about it and share your thoughts,

saw blink 182 last night in echo arena liverpool! and they were awesome! they also did a couple of acoustic tracks as encore in the middle of the crowd where i was near!.

anyone else been to any concerts recently or anything live of late?

Saw stone roses couple of weeks ago. Almost as nostalgic as collecting vintage star wars-awesome. Last time was at uni doesnt get much better!

Only problem is wifes friend has had to pull out of madonna next weekend at murrayfield so looks like I may have to go... Cant wait!?

I saw blink-182 in Birmingham a few weeks ago and have to agree they were brilliant. Travis has to be the best drummer I've ever seen live.

Who supported them Poncho? We had the All American Rejects who were awful. Really poor and was glad to cheer them off, along with a few other thousand!

Only other band on the "to see" list is Pink Floyd so pretty much sorted that one!

I went to Stone Roses at Heaton Park. They were ****ing awesome! Sound set up wasn't great but it was definitely one of the best gigs I've been to. Also got roped into seeing Madonna this coming Tuesday at Hyde Park. The things we do for our other halves!

silvergrin : it was american rejects and a welsh band called the blackout, they were quite good, american rejects however were awful i jeered them off also. travis cant half whack a drum, he did an awesome solo!

dude she should see britfloyd there an amazing floyd tribute act! the guitar riffs and sfx are spot to the sound of floyd, check them out

lee and steesh :

stone roses id loved too see them. waterfall and sally cinamon ,iwanna be adored quality tunes love to hear those bashed out live!

ha ha madonna bet those tickets werent cheap i saw her live in 2004 with an ex to be fair she puts on a good show and is good live act(madonna not my ex!lol),
i however wouldnt pay togo, but if someone offerd me tickets, hey why not.

Cheers poncho. Showing my age as last saw them in '96 in Aberdeen when at uni. Was a great gig.

Madonna is real expensive. My wife and friend bought fancy tickets which were 135 each! I think there will be a tear in my eye when I hand over the cash  Have to admit not really looking forward to it. Couple of drinks should make it more bearable.

Ive just booked tickets to see Europe(yep, those of Final Countown fame) in December and am really looking forward to it.John Norum is the guy who inspired me to play guitar and is hugely under-estimated IMO.I have a broad spectrum of musical tastes and have seen the following live:

Iron Maiden
G'n'Rs
Metallica
Megadeth
Slayer
Limp Bizkit
Status Quo :D -****ing great gig if i may say so.
W.A.S.P.
Avril Lavigne
Anthrax
Satriani
Vai
Oasis

And many, many more lesser know acts.As you can see its quite a variety :D

Now i just gotta get my mums friend to pass on the Jimi Hendrix signed album page she owns.

I dont know if it counts but Im away to see Franky Boyle later this week. For those who havent heard of him he is a light hearted comedian.

So far Iv been to a few shows already, Jimmy Carr 2 times and Roy Chubby Brown 1 time and Franky Boyle about 2 years ago. You cant beat a goo laugh.

Hey man I have a few DVDs but no Jimmy Carr ones. MM is quite funny too. I used to think he was as funny as a sore head until about a month ago when I actually sat down and watched one of his shows on SKY and since then I have changed my opinion of him.

The Boyle is still my favourite comedian tho.

Avril Lavigne??!

Really want to see Metallica but don't fancy doing the festival scene anymore so will have to see them on the next world tour!

Maulster-W.A.S.P. are a great badn mate,i still prefer the original line up though. You gotta read the book 'W.A.S.P.-STING IN THE TALE' very interesting read.Blackie was/is a nasty **** by all accounts. One thing though mate,i can assure you a Palitoy VCJ with '**** like a beast' codpiece doesnt exist :D Thats all in the past mate-water under the bridge so to say (or glue under the bubble :D  )

Silver Grin,i took my 6 year old girl in 2004 mate and beleive it or not she is very good live :D Quite a cute looking little wench is Miss Lavigne, glad to see she divorced that prick from SUM41 though-WTF did she see in that??

I'm on it! My older brother it me listening to his WASP and Maiden when I was a toddler and crimson idol was my first CD. I even rate kill, ****, die. Sound track to mug a granny

Recent bands for me were Guns n Roses, Alice Cooper, Ugly Kid Joe, Loaded, Metallica. All brilliant.
