So does anyone know where I can get some brown plastic to replace the fabric on my jawa's :lol: :lol: :lol:
no sorry, seriously though, I luckily have all my beater boxes from when I was a kid, a lucky loft store mum. I think that the condition of my collection, cards, bits and pieces, etc tell's a story, which you just don't get with repro. Even beater stuff I have bought still tells that story.
I read a post here the other day which showed that most of the repro printed stuff fades in the end anyway due to the printing processes, so seems a waste of money anyway, buy a beater if on a budget and love it I do.

I unashamedly love RS. It's where I first started connecting with other collectors. But I totally agree it is having massive issues at the moment. Where the f*ck have these recent idiotic posters come from? Like on every forum, there have always been ars*holes there but at least people didn't support repros. I want to contribute to discussions but my eyes glaze over these days when I see the top posts.

It has been.

In the past, there were several of us that would jump on them, and their cries of forum bullying would be ignored amidst the other members speaking up against their idiocy.

Unfortunately, the exodus of members who speak up, sudden slow down in those left actually calling them out, moderators who chastise the few who do, and the morons grouping together and collectively whining about being bullied has resulted in a shift in the majority opinion being represented there now.

Until moderation is willing to start sticking up for the guys who want to drive out the repro supporters, and locking down threads that unabashedly promote them, it won't change. I'm actually in discussions with one of the more silent mods right now, trying to come up with a solution, but he agrees with me that it's something they're aware of and it may be impossible to change.

Threads like this kill me. Between one guy trying to promote his China customs every chance he gets, the original thread poster just posting random **** to get a fight going and the other contributor just trying to stir things up (Ians Buddy)..that place is mental. I would throw them all out the ****ing door.

I think the intent of the original poster was to try and calm things down, not stir it up, but I get where you're coming from.
