Both SWF and RS have many threads about bad ebay sellers and scammers, but never about the really good ones. So here it is. This thread is meant for ebay sellers who are not members. Feedback for members should be given in the feedback thread in the 'for sale' subforum.

I'll start with Nigel from (ID:treasureandcurios). He packed my item really well (with metres and metres of bubble wrap), with low shipping costs and was very friendly all round. He included a very nice note with the parcel and even a signed photograph of his neighbour Celia who had a role in TPM (for the trivia lovers among you: she also played a role as Connor MacLeod's wife in Highlander).

the_kurgen sold me my second electronic Han Solo blaster. Many sellers charge close to actual cost, I have no problems paying for boxes and packing material etc. He bought a new postage box and half a shop's worth of packing material and sent me a stack of coins as exact change from the postage only

There are so may to list!

regi.na is a top seller, really friendly and has the odd gem or two listed from time to time

Robbie mullan (galactables)

I know he has his knockers (ie; u grades) but his service is very very good and in my opinion is a gentleman of the highest order.

Leahs toys and wormhole collectables in particular for good service.

Bamberooney for accepting reasonable offers.

Plenty more good ebayers out there though and i'v purchased from many members on this forum in the past via ebay and never had any grief.

yeah too many too mention but i'll second browny with mike bamber(bamberooney) bought quite a bit of stuff of him in the past, not just star wars. Not sure if andy davies is a member of the forum but he's one of the good guys.

Bamberooney has a nice AFA Q AT-AT I'm watching, but his shipping costs to the Netherlands are way high.

Hello

Mike Bamber Is a friend of mine, He is defo one of the good guys and Andy Davies is a very sound character as well.
ATATs are big and heavy so there is no cheap way of posting one of those things anyway.

Thank you,

Grant.

Emiel, ask him if he is prepared to negotiate outside of ebay to save fee's and in order for you to save on shipping,he's done that for my friend before.

Either that or go low on your offer in order to save on your shipping,he is normally very open to "reasonable" offers mate.

£120 to me... I think an offer would be the only way to go if he can't lower that shipping cost (I have had a guitar and amp sent for £40..)

Going off topic slightly but,I had to post a graded AT-AT to France a couple of years back and it was £120.Had to take direct to parcel force depot at Stoke and they nearly refused to take it because of the size.More mither than it's worth if you ask me.

Weird though. I could probably go get it myself for that price.

No doubt about it , a flight from here to the UK is only about £50 LOL

i just posted a at-at to france for 37gbp insured/trackable ! it was posted in a massive box with a ton of padding . i also found a private courier that would have cost 22gbp but it took 7 to 10 days so i decided against it . you have to search abit for the best price with the delivery options you want but it can be done

slim

Fair comment slim, but this was graded and the guy paid £1k for it and wanted full insurance so £120 was probably about right.
Back on topic, not sure if Gary Harrison is still in the business but had some good trades with him over the last few years.Another top bloke to deal with.

Like Emiel,i myself have dealt with Nigel & the guy is an absolute gent of the highest order. My item was also packed really well with loads of bubble wrap & in a sturdy box.I also received the same signed photo & he even included a VTSC Lando figure. He is without a doubt the best seller i have come across on ebay & its a shame there aren't more like him. :D :D :D

I've contacted Mike and he gives individual shipping quotes. He'll also refund the difference if actual shipping costs are lower, so top bloke!

Slim,

A graded MISB ATAT weighs a ton. The size of the acrylic case on an ATAT is huge. I doubt very much one of those will be shipped through any postal service with full insurance for anything less than £100+.

A loose example or just a MIB example would obviously cost alot less.

my at-at to france weighed in at almost 6kg's and the box was big enough to take a graded example . if you are talking shipping from the dreaded USA yes it will cost a small fortune but when shipping to europe it always cheaper , have you noticed how the scumbags at royalmail are always hiking up the prices for uk deliverys ? everytime i hit the post office its more more....feckin more cash
