Rarest items by figure?

Old Joe thread has been bumped on RS:

Reading through that thread and the only thing that becomes clear is that their are loads of contenders

The only real contenders however are where only 1 example is known to exist. For example there is only 1 known carded MOC Harbert Boba Fett.

Nice baggie there Frank :D 3 other rare Palitoy baggies are Luke Jedi, squid head and small head Han as only 3 each of those known as well.

There are between 6 & 8 confirmed long green cape palitoy squiddy baggies all tracing back to Toy Toni's ex palitoy stash, who knows if any of them have has the U grade treatment since though :(

I also think that a few more of those Luke Jedi baggies will be out there, but only those couple confired, have you got more info regarding the pin head han palitoy baggie Scott as I have only heard of the 1 so far & he is the final pin head baggie I need to finish my pin head baggie mini grail focus :| boy would I love to get my mits on that one.

A couple more ones off's that I know of -

Yoda palitoy

Amanaman palitoy Jabbas dungeon

IMGP8956.jpg

9D9 same baggie as above & same set - never seen a barada to go with it though

IMGP6294.jpg

FX-7 palitoy

These are "up till now" the one & only example I have seen of any of these

There are also the SW-e type baggies that have till now only been confirmed to have come in the legendary & unobtainable 16 pack -

The super rare ESB-c which only came in the SO Darth Vader carry case (bounty hunters eddition)

& some SW-a baggies that came with the 2nd 12 figure SW display stand that came with 6 baggies, sadly only one confirmed example to date, but it was a toy fair sample.

Also there are the other pin head han baggies out there of which the other 2 kenner versions came with super rare multi-packs which I have never seen either of sadly, don't even know if any have made it

Frank I was talking about the 2 pin head you had and just presumed they where palitoy as I thought you said they appeared in the Woolies special offer vehicles, I also didn't realise that there where that many of those squids out there.

Sadly not, but it does bring up a point I have often considered, being "if" the special offer X-wing was indeed only a woolworths exclusive (UK issued only item) as I have been told it was??, then why did it come with SW-a baggies rather than palitoy baggies, the only thing I can think is that either I have been miss informed about it being exclusive to woolworths or they were in fact pacaked up & sent over like this, or maybe overstock figures from Kenner were sent to palitoy along will roll's stickers to make up the S.O X-wings with an overstock or X-wings that palitoy may have have - I would sure like an answer to that question :?

http://theswca.com/images-toys/specoff-xwing.html

& as for the Squid head, this is what I heard about numbers that ended up with TT as overstock bought directly from Palitoy when they were in the throws of closing the plant down.

Not sure but I imagine it would be a **** load rarer if it were on the smaller first issue Meccano square cards, not that I even know if yoda ever came on that card?, dounbt it though, though as you can see by my postings I am not big on MOC's

In the book Meccano to trilogo it lists the small square carded yoda as 2 (common) and the ROTJ card as a 3 (Scarce) would be interesting to see which one you have

Square carded Meccano Yoda common???? seriously  (I've only ever seen 1 for sale)

If Yoda is common, what are Ben Kenobi and Jawa classed as

I have never seen one for sale I will admit :) but I was only saying what the book says

Frank- because you've no replied to my PM- I just want you to know that in protest, I'm not reading what you've just written above this post.

My Mecanno Yoda is the ROTJ large/standard size card version ..if that makes sense. You can see it in the photos of my collection on the showcase section.

One thing I'd point out is the author did mention unless I'm mistaken the rarity scale used was relative to France and Europe I believe. He did give a few examples but can't rem off hand. So a piece that is super rare somewhere maybe common somewhere else.

Then again with us all being connected to the Internet I'm not sure if that is relevant anymore
