Is anyone else pissed off with the price of loose figs at the mo!?
Everytime i try to bid for something on ebay ....i just cant keep up with big wigs.
The way prices are going its a great time for the dealer and not the collector with no dosh. I am finding it so difficult to get a fare price.
I Admit im after higher end items like LL YODA JAWA and pop up R2 but the prices are out my reach and seem to be rocketing. The only way to vet a fair price are on tge forums but less chance of getting the figure you want.
Not knocking the seller good on them for getting a great price
Just cant progress my focus at the mo...need some luck.

I have to agree there the prices of everything are shooting up crazily. I have a few idea's for you however...

1) Have you tried the FB groups? There's a very good group for Lili Ledy figures.

2) Buy from the USA on ebay.com, I've been doing this for a while now as typically figures are available in larger quantities and cheaper!. I usually pick up a batch of items and have them shipped to a mate in the US who in turn bulk ships them to me.

Hope these suggestions help?

Plus PM sent on a LL Yoda ;)

dont buy much loose these days the odd variant yes and i have noticed a crazy price hike on ebay for some pieces

Yeah you're not wrong man, it's frustrating sometimes. I have bid on a few mint loose figures lately and they've all rocketed up in the last few minutes beyond what I'm willing to pay for them. I've been outbid, not won one of them. A few weeks ago I bid a lot of money for a super minty blue snagg and it went for about 250 quid! I stopped a fair bit lower than that but it ****in pissed me off  Defo worth looking over the pond, figures go for less but then the postage is hefty :|

tell me about it, prices are a bit silly at the moment, i've had an eye on a few figs for my secret santa reciepient this year, but they have all gone for a lot more than i expected, at this rate i'll be sending money in a card, lol, i'll keep checking.
Cardbacks to seem to have gotten more pricey, i've been watching a few and suprised at the money they get, even the beaten to hell ones

The whole range of vintage stuff seems to be sky rocketing at the moment. Lot of prequal trilogy generation getting into the vintage stuff perhaps? I don't no also Episode 7 around the corner and the 77-85 generation getting to an age where they have more spare cash. I no one thing for sure a lot of long time collectors becoming out priced at the moment.

Thanks for the advice stef...my bro lived state side for years and i did have some figs sent to him and he would post them on. I dont have that option ang more. I do look on the usa ebay sites often. But again i worry about the extra cost with customs etc.

I do think episode 7 has an influence or maybe loose figs are on the rise because of the toy tony saga :?

Its a sad factor that collectors are finding it increasingly hard to complete or at least add to their focus. Saying that id rather spend my wages and line the pockets of my fellow forum members than pay some of those ****s on fleabay.

but when you get that cheap figure once every now and then its all worth it i bid on a luke jedi beater with cape and green saber just on the chance that the saber was original and when it came it was original cape and saber won for 99p :D

I hear that  At the rate it's going i'll have to take stuff out of my own collection. But fear not my SS (whoever you are), you will not be disappointed
