What's the quickest way to ship an item from the UK to the states? (AZ)
I told the guy Royal Mail tracked should only take 8-9 days... true?
Is there a better option?

May I ask the size of the item? Royal Mail Airsure can be as little as 4 days

The item is a box of trading cards/packs. So not dissimilar to the size of an MOC in a star case tho heavier probably about 3-4 kgs. Last time i had it weighed and quoted at the post-office it was only £15 to send tracked.
How much would arisure cost?

I've had items sent via FedEx economy delivered in as little as 48 hours (California too!) but you're talking £30+ at least, I don't think it really makes sense to use a courier for small low value items.

Well i don't need it quite that quick. We're talking more like a week. The guy just doesn't want to be waiting 2-3 weeks and i'm not sure i can guarantee that sending it by Royal Mail tracked. Or can i?
Also it's not that low value. Around £300.

royal mail have a handy online calculator to give you a price for shipping on there main website.

as royal mail doesnt have "live" tracking you cant guarantee the time, ive had airsure take a week, and another time time take over 2 weeks. the only way to be sure id to use fedex ect, i think it would cost you about £18 with £50 insurance but your best off running a quote.

Yeah Royal Mail overseas can take anything from 4 days to a month, there is no guarantee even with the tracked services. If they want it within a specified time, a courier is going to be your only choice I'm afraid.

Parcel Force Global Priority is pretty good. Usually 6 days max from the UK to US.

I use global express when I want it there quickly,

Once it arrived in 3 days.

I like the american USPS services, marked as a 30 dollar gift
comes to me no hassle at all in 4 days, 2 of which inc weekend

What sort of price? Where/how does one post? Sorry, never used anything other than Royal Mail so a bit of a noob.

go onto parcel2go.com and run off a quick quote, they will come back with a quote from all the major couriers including parcelfarce, you will find fedex the cheapest probably, then pay and the courier picks it up from your house ect.

Hey PG,

I'd say its about £40-£50 to send a box that would hold a MOC. Roughly dude.

Regards

Grant.
