Lol Jeff I don't have a Baggie :) tbh I have never sent a figure or carded figure off too be graded, why? Few reasons, I'm too lazy, couldn't be bothered too wait the time they are away,

Whenever I have brought an ungraded item I know I am going to send off for grading, I make sure I send it off the very day I get it, I really want to spend a couple of days with it but know that couple of days means 2 days longer that its not on its way and hate waiting.

Learning not to get involved in U Grade threads.

300 million star wars figures around the world. I'm sure you can find a decent one without destroying a MOC or Baggie.

Agreed my main focus is mint loose figures, i have many which i have found to be in mint condition without too much trouble!!!

I have the odd baggie and bashed in moc, but no way would i open them up, i could find a minty loose example without having to open him up. The good thing about moc and baggies is that you can still see the figure in all its glory without having to rip it out.

And Scott to be fare mate thats a perfectly valid question its not like you were intent on winding people up like the beloved Karen. its a great question in fact and ive learned something new with all the responses.

Also loose figures being 'preserved & protected' when cased is a myth. Loose figures can bash around inside a case (especially during postage) I have 2 AFA85 loose figures that are ****ed.
Sure, for resale grading has advantages. But if you're collecting mint loose figures in cases for the look ( & I can see that appeal ) just get cases from GWacrylic- it will save a shitload of coin.

Everytime I pick up a graded figure and here it knocking, I shudder. It's going to take it's toll eventually. At least bubbles have some kind of elasticity. Acrylic is rock hard!

Graded baggies are even worse. They don't have any support. You might as well buy a rattle, because that's all they will be eventually. Frank's design with UKG is way better.

Is it more the mental aspect of a figure not previously being touched and then being graded and stored in a protective box that appeals?

Perhaps eh?

Someone at the factory touched them...so that point is not valid...although some people selling these have the sales pitch of "Never touched by human hands"
