Wow well done Norwich, who saw that coming? Spurs are in the title race again

On a serious note, 5 points separating 3rd and 19th, maybe this season won't be so boring after all

I literally don't know a single Liverpool fan who has EVER said that. Bar a few who say it to take the piss.

5pts ahead after 5 games is amazing, but there is no chance of that lasting. City ahve dropped 5pts in 5 games after dropping 15 in 38 last year, and 16 in 38 the year before, they will revert to type soon.

Superb result by Norwich mind. With most of a team unavailable as well!

It's not just City dropping points, it's amazing that 3rd-7th have all only picked up 8 points each after 5 games, I don't remember anyone being third before with only a 40% win ratio. At this early stage I would normally expect 4 or 5 teams to still be unbeaten, Liverpool are now the only team already.

Still very early days but it's going to be a very interesting next few matches to see if any of those teams can find some form

Pool's next 5 games....

Chelsea (A)
Sheff Utd (A)
Leicester (H)
Utd (A)
Spurs (H)

If Pool are still top by 5pts ish after that run, they will have done bloody well.

Now I'm not quite white hit with rage can anyone tell me what the **** Arsenal were playing at yesterday?
In the first half we weren't great but took our chances, the second half should have been very much calm, controlled, don't do anything stupid and then we start passing it around our own box from the restart!!!
How many teams need to concede from goal kicks before defenders and keepers grasp that just because you can play it short it doesn't make it remotely a good idea? I've read a number of articles likening the rule change to that of the backpass change in the 90's but come on, that was a mandatory change. This is optional FFS.
As for Luiz I just hope he's getting a couple of comedy moments out of his system early doors and he'll settle down later on.
Fortunately we've still got three first choice defenders to come back.
Ah well, at least we're back at home next weekend

Watford's first goal was horrendous. WTF Socrates (or whatever his name is) was doing I will never know. Saying that Leno cold see they were being pressed and yet he still rolled a soft 5 yard pass to him.

Highly unlikely, I don't understand any club spending money on him, he's a liability.

This playing out from the back trend is going to be comedy gold all season, even City got caught out on Saturday. Spurs have come close a few times.

Does that make Spurs the first club ever to lead 2-0 but still manage to lose 2-1?

That offside decision was a shocker. How VAR gave that I'll never know. When it comes down to millimetres you have to accept the technology isn't THAT precise and go with whatever the ref/lino gave.

I'm 100% for VAR but it's supposed to remove controversey from decisions, so far Spurs have been on the receiving end of two questionable decisions in six games. But VAR aside they're heading for a mid-table season if they continue this current form, especially as Spurs have a habit of getting worse towards the end

Shock win for West Ham today, will Chelsea beat Liverpool to make it a hat trick?

Great game, absolutely buzzing! They were shite, they had nothing up front. Creswells free kick  :D

Amazing! We weren't very good and still beat them comfortably. We were missing players too.

They need to change the off side law IMO, it should go back there has to be clear daylight between defender and attacker. To many good goals are going to be chalked of otherwise.

Well done West Ham today, MAn Utd were ****.

Utd were woeful yesterday.

That is a club going backwards, at pace.

As for the offside law. I dunno how you fix it. Define "clear daylight"? What is unclear daylight? Surely one camera angle will show daylight between a player and another won't?

It used to be like that, so if the attacking player is completely in front of the last defender, thats every part of his/her body then it's offside and if any part is overlapping it's onside. You would still have tight decisions but you wouldn't have perfectly good goals ruled out. The offside law was invented to prevent the attacker having an unfair advantage. Some of these goals being ruled out are spoiling the game for me, that Spurs goal was a goal for the last 10 seasons.

defender
attacker onside

defeneder
attacker offside

As for Man Utd, in many ways they have to go backwords before we can go forwards IMO. Especially if we keep changing managers every 2 to 3 seasons. Half the problem is we get a new manager that rebuilds the squad, that manager only gets 2 seasons and the entire process is repeated.

As I've said before though, success comes from the top. The owners don't really care if Man Utd win anything or not, as long as the money keeps rolling in.
