What the feck is Becks doing in that team?
You're. Just trying to wind me up?

You think of a better wide player down the years for England, for a 3 to 4 year period he was unplayable and probably the best crosser/passer England has had. Underrated by you for sure, he should have got the ballon d'Or in 1999.

Alan Ball was an incredible winger. Looking at your eleven you're clearly a Man Utd fan

 Yeah very true, and Beckham is not the only Man Utd player who you can argue about, I thought Gerrard should probably be in istead of Robson, but this is the best 11 that played for England, I consider Shearer a better striker than Rooney and Hurst but not in an England shirt. I almost just put the starting 11 from the 1966 final down, as it is the greatest England team ever.

weasel Beckham came second in the ballon D'or in 1999 missing out to Rivaldo because he played for Barcelona and we all know you have to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid to win that. Gerrard, Scholes and Lampard were all better centre midfielders than Beckham, but none of them got even close as a winger/right sided didfielder. The amount of times one of them tried playing wide and they had to change it straight away because it wasn't working.

Chris Waddle could have been up their if he could have been bothtered to run.

England all time 11.

Manager - Sir Alf Ramsey

Gordon Banks

Stuart Pearce
Billy Wright
Sir Bobby Moore
George Cohen

Martin Peters
Bryan Robson
Sir Stanley Matthews
Sir Bobby Charlton

Gary Lineker
Jimmy Greaves

Good team Cazza SIr Stanly Mathews, that was a player!! I forgot about him.

No one having Hoddle, one of the best players we've ever produced.

Thought about Hoddle and Brooking for that creative role, but Peters nicked it for me, mainly due to the World Cup.

I thought about Hoddle and Gascoigne, like I said before I picked my 11, its impossible and completely subjective.

This is true.

Waddle was a good shout. TBF, I would struggle to name more than 5 or 6 of the '66 team. For some bizarre reason I have never sat down and watched the final. Nothing to do with, not being English and football in the 60's being a bit kack compared to now. Hard to argue against them being included. Personally I think modern footballers wud make them look like plodders. But then put modern footballers in 60's kit and play 60's rules.....

Wazza, I see the logic in, England's top goal scorer etc. Though he did benefit from coming at the end of your "golden era" and being a striker/taking pens. Too scorer is top scorer. Even if he never quite hit his Utd highs in an England shirt Imo. He prob wouldn't make my team but feck knows who wud.

As for golden balls, it's impossible to separate David Beckham the media whore from David Beckham the footballer. The latter was undoubtedly a very good player, but his media profile kept him in the public/press' minds and made people believe he was a lot better than he actually was.
I agree frank and Scholesy where better CM's, i do think Gerrard was better out right than Becks though. Him and fat Frank alternated CM and Gerrard did have experience of playing out there for Pool. Tiz subjective though.

How Carlton Palmer missed out on all your teams I will never know. The complete midfielder 8)

This is the thing with Beckham, if you don't know anything about football you think David Beckham is one of the best footballers ever and if your into football you think he is overated because of the circus that came with him, so overhyped. But forget about all that and just think about him as a footballer, he was istrumental the treble season and for the 3 to 4 seasons after and if you watch back some of the games from that period you can't deny that.

Stuart Ripley was class as well.

I'd take Ripley of Carlton Palmer any day. How he got England caps and Steve Bruce got the middle finger I will never know.

Yes, different positions but still.

Genuinely amazed he didn't get a cap. He was no world beater, but he was playing in a Utd team that was walking the PL and England post Italia 90 and pre Euro 96, were hardly a great team blessed with tonnes of quality CB's

Yes agreed he always chipped in with some impotant goals as a well, the brace against Wednesday the famous ones but I also remember Fergie throwing him up front for the last 10 minutes at Wimbledon and he grabbed the only goal of the match.

How about your most hated 11. Players who for whatever reason you hated. Not ones you disliked a bit, who played for a rival and were a bit good, or people who were criminally overrated, hello Eric and David, I mean players you really hated.

Oliver Kahn (arrogant ****)
John Terry (surely this one is obvious)
Ashley Cole (see above)
Sergio Ramos (utter utter utter **** and captain of this team)
Pepe (runs 50 yards to jump two footed on someone's back)
Stephan Effenberg (Another arrogant twat)
El Hadji Diouf (Just a horrible excuse for a human being. His ma should apply for a 59th trimester abortion. Even the churches would support her)
Ballotelli (struggled with the last spot. He's just a waste of talent, but he did let off fireworks inside his own house.)
Neymar (diving wee toe rag, and wasting his talent in a glorified SPL)
Ronaldo (CR7, arrogant prick)
Drogba (first game back from a routine injury and he celebrated like he had singlehandedly saved the world. Plus he always scored against pool and struck me as a ballbag)

Manager OBVIOUSLY Jose Mourinho

A surprising number of Real Madrid and Chelsea players on here.

My manager for ther best 11 of my time is Valeriy Lobanovskyi, he was class!!

My most annoying team,

Manager, Pep Guardiola.

Jens Lehmann

John Terry
Martin Keown
Ramos

Neymar
Dennis Wise
Robbie Savage
Joy Barton

Maradona
Thierry Henry
Luis Suarez

Not a bad team though.

Nt the most creative midfield but with a forward line like that (Neymar is never gonna play midfield he is a lazy ****) you should be fine.

Oliver Kahn- not evil but there aren't that many arsehole keepers!!
Lothar Matteaus - Arrogant
Ramos- just an over acting cheating arse. I can respect the art of Italian defending but he is a cheat.
Ashley Cole- Idiot
Diof- spitting over rated scum.
Rivaldo- again cheating git.
Genaro Gattusa- cheating over acting baby.
Maradonna- cheating ****
Neymar- diver, over rated and bad sport.
Luis Suarez- Just an absolute horrible **** of a player, cheating, biting and played for Liverpool.
Diego Costa. Horrible C@#T

France's top 2 leagues have been abandoned, apparently they're still deciding whether to cancel all promotions/relegations or use current standings. I think this could put pressure on other European leagues to follow suit.
