Well... I have already claimed and they have offered what I would consider a poxy sum!

Assuming that I (like most people) will say oh well I thought it would be more and take it. Unfortunately for them I don't settle for first offers (as most of you who have dealt with me will know  ) and have requested all my statements dating from 1996-2009.

These are gonna be sent out to me this week. I just need help calculating what is actually owed to me.

Cheers,

Bram

Out of interest which bank? I tried to claim from HSBC as I know for a fact I was paying PPI on a loan I had for several years while a student in the late 90s, but I don't have any of the paperwork. HSBC claimed their records only go back 5 years and they couldn't send me any details.

Lloyds TSB mate.

I think they all try their luck mate.

I would get on to the specific department that deals with loans. PPI didn't even tell me this was an option I had to go through credit card services.

It makes you laugh as Lloyds have all the information available to them but just make it so difficult so that people just accept the offer.

Toe rags!

Yeah, this is what they bank on. Get a solicitor and get EVERY penny they owe you. Same thing happened to my dad. He knew that they HAD to pay him everything they owed and so he fought through their low-ball offers until they crumbled and forked out everything.

I'm f**kin livid!

After their "using the last 3 years of statements lowball crap offer", I contacted them and requested ALL my previous statements from credit card services.

This morning I have already received the money into my account! This is not Lloyds TSB making a fantastic offer and in super fast time getting it out to me, this is Lloyds TSB making a crap offer and getting it into my account so that I assume its the best I am gonna get and have already got the cash.

I have to ask my self, if it had been £10k would I have received it as quick?!

I called them this morning to ask for more time to consider their offer, considering it was made on Monday and received today!! I told them I have requested ALL previous statements and all they said was that they would forward my concern to a team who they CANNOT GUARANTEE will call me even though I have requested them to. I asked them for a direct phone number, guess what?? Sorry I cannot give out that number!

My point to her (which she could not debate) is this. Why not ask the customer who has been mis sold PPI and has been out of pocket for 13 years permission to access all previous statements so they can make an accurate representation of the history of the credit card and then make an informed offer. They have all the information they need within the relevant departments so why not f**king use it?!

Obviously I know the answer. Its to make it as difficult as possible for the customer. YET AGAIN! So that they then have no choice but to go to the FOS and it then take another year or more!!

I asked for todays conversation to be recorded and saved and sent to me, to which she responded with another department address for me to send a £10 cheque to for a copy.

£12 for my statements
£10 for my conversation
£?? compensation
£?? for my phone calls, time, effort, stress.

NONE OF THIS IS MY F**CKING FAULT!! WANKERS!!

(sorry I just had to vent)
