This guy seems to have five of these and has already sold one (all identical listings)

In fact if you look at all the listings theres quite a few doubles/triples/quadruples all with the same pics. £3.06 P & P WTF :?

I take it I am the only one who has ever had their ebay user Id hacked?

The guys account has been jacked and whoever did it is using his name to sell a variety of items that don't exist in order for him to get slammed with ebay insertion fees, and to waste everyones time.

I had mine hacked/hijacked 2 years ago and overnight the guy had listed 5 new pc towers on my account, I woke up and thought WTF!

This seller hasn't had any transactions in the last 90 days so I am pretty sure he doesn't even know what has happened.

I suggest people contact ebay and get the auctions shut down, as I will now.

I had mine hacked once, all of a sudden loads of dodgy fake handbags were being listed in my name!

Quite scary to start with but Ebay's instant chat thing worked perfectly and shut it all down, there were already 180 things listed though before they had chance to stop it!

Its ****ing scary isn't it Bollux!

Luckily I was actively using mine so I saw the auctions the day after they went up!

I emailed ebay with some of the item numbers so we will see what they say, it might be worth a few more doing it too to get it seen to?

bloody hackers :(

i had some car stereos stuck on my account once ,top stereos and there was a few grand getting bid  got suspended while they investigated .would have kept the money though if i got chance

Jabba I am sure that the hackers would have already changed the paypal details too! clever bastards!

I bet a lot of people have the same password on ebay and paypal. Not a good idea. Its also good to mix numbers and other characters into your password as the hackers don't have a chance then - unless you respond to one of the phishing emails.

I reported the listings to ebay but they've done jack so far
I'll post on RS as well.

My account was hacked once several years ago. the guy listed 2 tickets to the LA Lakers. Ebay sorted it in 2 days so no harm done although I did get several messages from people who were watching the tickets asking what happened to them.

Oh and the only other problem was I couldn't bid on items - was watching a cool RG item that ended during the period of ebay sorting the problem.

was that user called kater4264?

had this mail from fleabay

Dear gust,

We'd like to let you know that an email you received recently from kater4264 may be untrustworthy. We encourage you to be cautious about emails from this member and we recommend that you don't respond to any further communication from them.

Our records indicate that you recently sent an email to, or received an email from this member through the eBay email system (e.g. via "Ask Seller a Question" or "Contact eBay Member").

Sometimes people misuse eBay accounts by sending emails inviting you to buy or sell outside of eBay. They may also send questions unrelated to eBay - hoping that you will respond so that they can obtain your email address.

If someone asks you to buy or sell an item outside of the eBay platform, we strongly recommend that you ignore the request. Off-eBay transactions are not protected by our Feedback system and protection services. To find out more, copy this link into a new browser window:

Recognising genuine Second Chance Offers

A Second Chance Offer always receives a new item number and is shown in My eBay. To accept a genuine Second Chance Offer you must log in to My eBay and complete the purchase on the eBay website. If you can't find the offer in the Buying section of My eBay, it's not valid.

Protect yourself from email scams and fraud

Always complete your purchases on the eBay website - it's the safest way to trade with other eBay members. Always make sure that your User ID is listed as the winning bidder on the "Item ended" page before sending money for a purchase. Please report anyone who asks you to buy or sell outside eBay to Customer Support.

If you've sent payment for an item but haven't received it, please let us know. You can contact us from any eBay Help page.

For additional information about buying and selling safely on eBay, visit our Safety Centre by copying this link into a new browser window:

As always, our goal is to keep eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

Wow they are actually taking the trouble to look at the problem and address all avenues!

Now all they need to do is fix the search :)

But yeah seriously lol not worth you sending an email to a weird auction, not that you knew it had been hacked.

I got an Email from them about an Anime DVD I'd bought which ebay had to withdraw from sale (probably because it was a bootleg!), I guess they are working on behalf of ebay to help monitior/sort out problems?
